| Anyone used eSHa Gastropex Snail killer? | 21 Aug 2005 17:06 GMT | 2 |
I've got a plague of ramhorns and this Netherlands product claims to be the only product that doesn't require water changes afterwards. It is also said to clear bacterial blooms as well. It doesn't say what is in it unfortunately and I was wondering if

| Weight of tank upstairs | 20 Aug 2005 21:08 GMT | 4 |
I am thinking of buying a new largish tank, a 4ft 60-70 gallon tank. I was hoping to put it upstairs and was wondering if this would be safe. I live in a Victorian terrace house in the UK although I believe the room is part of an extension. The floor is made up of chipboard panels

| White Cloud Minnows | 20 Aug 2005 11:16 GMT | 5 |
I thought about getting some to put into an outdoor tub and let them make more. I went to the sort of good LFS we have here, all they had were males. Seems odd that someone would go to the trouble to sort them out.

| Extremely shy Clown Loaches | 20 Aug 2005 10:51 GMT | 29 |
I got the 3 Clown Loaches last Wednesday but they are in hiding. They don't appear to be suffering from Ich on the rare occassions I see them but are a little greyed out - therefore IME a little bit stressed. I sometimes see a quick dash across the back of the tank but no more. As ...

Assuming the animal, or fish, in question can see infrared light, and the pupil is able to dilate/retract - will the pupil respond to exposure to infrared light? I tried finding a more suitable newsgroup for this question, but were unable

| Salt or not? | 19 Aug 2005 20:26 GMT | 7 |
I saw it mentioned once again that livebearers need a little salt in the water. I've got a tank with platys in it, but they share the tank with a betta, some otos, and an SAE. Another tank has cory cats as well. Is salt harmful to any of those? If not, how much per gallon ...

| New user... new tank... | 19 Aug 2005 09:45 GMT | 17 |
G'day. I'm new to this forum and am just setting up a 4" (200L) tank. I have had tanks before (last 2 tanks were 400L and 300L respectively) but was always too impatient to ever achieve great results. This time around, I'm older and wiser, and am doing things a little differently,

| Sick betta -- lethargic, clamped fins. Help! | 19 Aug 2005 08:44 GMT | 16 |
My wife's betta, Sly, isn't acting like himself. He's been less active than normal lately, and we're really worried about him. I got quite a shock a few minutes ago when he was resting on the gravel motionless and listing to the side a bit with fins clamped. He's swimming around ...

| gold barb can't close mouth! | 19 Aug 2005 06:51 GMT | 3 |
I have a 30g tank with 13 gold barbs, 1 tiger barb, & 3 zebra danios. Two of my gold barbs are having problems: 1) one can not close its mouth. Its mouth is wide open, it looks like it is 'flexing' its lips (or maybe that's just it trying to breathe),

| Angel Fish Question | 19 Aug 2005 04:53 GMT | 13 |
I have two albino angel fish. Recently I have seen that the bigger one has a black ray in his upper fin. I have had them since they were dime size. Anything to worry about?
