I am about to give up...18 Aug 2005 22:27 GMT8
Ok - so I successfully cycled my tank, and got new fish. This was 11 days
ago. Well - I got home from work yesterday, and all but one of my fish were
dead. They were all fine before I went to work (my angel is the only one
left alive). They have been seemingly ok for the last 11 ...
Anyone seen a Clown Loach with spots instead of the second stripe18 Aug 2005 15:10 GMT10
Saw this amazingly pretty Clown Loach at the LFS today....instead of a
stripe or saddleback he had 3 distinctive spots - I watched him for a good
10 mins.....My previous :-( Alpha was a saddleback with a spot underneath
and I also now have another saddleback with my new three but I ...
centralized filter17 Aug 2005 13:34 GMT2
I'm having a hard time getting a sufficient answer to: Can/should I run
a single filter for three 10gal tanks vertically? Can anyone make
suggestions or suggest a link to the info? I'm kinda scared to run
three siphons. That's tempting fate.

In goes the live stuff...17 Aug 2005 04:48 GMT1
As per my last post, I am about to introduce living stuff to my tank,
starting with plants. At the moment, I only have a single 40W tube over
my 200L tank, so I'm really in the low-end of lighting as far as plants
go.
Fish load17 Aug 2005 03:18 GMT17
I currently have a 120 litre tank, stocked with six goldfish (all under 4cm
long) & four catties (all under 6cm long). Any recommendations for how many
others I can add & what species to balance the tank ?
The tank is heavily planted & filtration is supplied by a canister filter
Farewell, my angelfish16 Aug 2005 22:14 GMT3
That's upsetting. My black (wobbly) angelfish is slowly become
completely incapacitated by paralysis, starting from the tail fin. He's
now locked in a body that he can no longer control. He can move his
pectoral fins, but barely twitch his tail fins. He can maintain a
Coldwater Tank16 Aug 2005 21:30 GMT3
Hi evreryone, my first post to the group.
I have a 65 litre coldwater tank with a couple of goldfish and a mollie in
it.
I was wondering if there is any other interesting creature I could add other
Shy Corys16 Aug 2005 20:41 GMT3
I have a few corys in my planted 75L tank. For over 3 months they were
highly entertaining as a group. About a month ago I noticed that a
female had plumped up and tried to catch it to isolate and save any
eggs. I was not successful in catching them because the tank being
FErtilizer and CO2 questions16 Aug 2005 18:57 GMT6
What is your experience with fertilizers and CO2? I am currently
experiencing algae on the glass of my tank and leaves.
I think is because water my dosing of fertilizers and CO2 is not the
correct, it is over what it should be. I use liquid CO2 and Tropical Master
what kind of Algae is this?16 Aug 2005 18:05 GMT14
I'm reposting this from the plants forum, since I haven't gotten
responses.  Thanks for any help!  (maybe I'm just impatient...)
I have a type of algae I'm unfamiliar with.  It's growing on glass and
the leaves of plants.  I've seen very little on driftwood.  Can someone
pondfilter on an aquarium16 Aug 2005 03:09 GMT3
I'm looking at redoing my 500l tank. I saw some really nice minimalistic
root setups (South American with Angels) i would like to try.
Since that would mean increasing the number of angels in the tank (i
would be taking out some fish too), i would like to increase the
Disappearing Clown Loaches (long)16 Aug 2005 03:07 GMT11
Last November I purchased 4 Clown Loaches for my planted 55g tank which also
had 2 Bronze, 1 Albino, and 4 Elegans Corys, 6 Danios, 4 Adult and 3
juvenile Angels, a few Platies, and 2 SAE.
At first the CL's were pretty invisible then started to come out.
changing water15 Aug 2005 22:00 GMT12
when changing water do you treat the water with treatments in the whole
tank or just the water you are putting in e.g.10% water change
