Rocks15 Aug 2005 17:30 GMT2
I was wondering what kind of rocks people use in their aquariums.  It's
my understanding that rocks can provide a buffer for pH but I've
searched the 'net and can't seem to find any information on it.
Can any one point me to some useful information?

Planning the restock on the 200L Community Tank15 Aug 2005 03:10 GMT4
I decided to take NetMax's advice and spend some time working out what to
put into my sadly depleted Community Tank. It is heavily planted, has
bogwood and a Fluval 4 Internal and Fluval 404 external.
The remaining occupants after the disaster are:-
Black molly with ich?15 Aug 2005 02:51 GMT13
Yesterday I noticed a couple of white spots on the tail and the fin of
my black molly.  Today when I came home from work I noticed it is now
covered with white spots.  It has one really bad spot right above the
eye.  Does this sound like ich or something else?  Thanks in advance.
"terbang" definition?14 Aug 2005 20:52 GMT5
Someone here used the term "terbang" (but I can't remember who).  I
googled it and came to a site about folding paper airplanes. 8O  I
don't think that's what it means in realtion to aquaria.  Can anyone
enlighten me?  Thanks!

I am having a problem with my 100 gallon tank.  It has 2 Fluval 404's in it.
One with just Biomax and foam, the other with Biomax, foam and carbon.   I
also have to air power filters (round/black with air lines providing the
power). I was told the Foam in the Fluvals is too big ...
dead fish14 Aug 2005 01:07 GMT3
Hi.  I went away for a couple of weeks, and the person who was supposed
to look after my fish didn't do a very good job.  About 4 small fish
have died (a couple of neons and a sae)  However I cannot find them.
Is there anything detrimental in leaving the dead bodies/bones in the
Dead Betta Question13 Aug 2005 16:17 GMT1
About two weeks ago I introduced a Betta into my 20 gal long community
tank of 2 Dwarf Gouramis, 6 Zebra Danios and 2 Oto's. For about a week
and a half everything was fine. The Betta seemed very happy and his
fins remained untouched but I kept watching just in case.
Dream Tank13 Aug 2005 08:59 GMT3
I was looking at a Freshwater aquarium at this fishing pro shop in
Wisconsin. http://www.eagleriverguides.com/hq.htm They claim the tank is
16,300 gallons.  If the tank is 10' deep, what would the surface area need
to be?
Our Clown Loaches might have Ich13 Aug 2005 05:22 GMT18
We have two Clown loaches in a small community tank.  We purchased them
about two weeks ago, and they have only rarely stopped moving since.  I
noticed one of them brushing himself against a tank ornament just now,
and then against the gravel.  So I moved in for a closer look.  They
Pimodella pictus question13 Aug 2005 03:39 GMT1
It seems to me that I have seen two different fish called "Pimodella
pictus."  One seems to be more silvery with rounder, better defined
spots, the other is greyer with a few small, vague horizontal lines
and less well defined spots.  I saw quite a few of the former in shops
Starting a cichlids tank12 Aug 2005 23:53 GMT11
We recently moved and tore down our aquarium, and it is time to get it
starting again. It was a community tank with lots of plants, but I want to
do something a little different when I get going again.
I am thinking cichlids which I understand needs lots of hiding places and
