Over the past four or so months, my family has been caring for fish. We have learned a lot over the past months, and are thoroughly hooked to the hobby. Our LFS has a huge sale going next weekend. They are selling tanks and stands at cost, and then everything else is marked

| Gourami Behaviour | 29 Sep 2005 23:23 GMT | 3 |
Last week, I thought all my tank warfare problems were over with the departure of my CAE. As part of my new fish stock, I purchased 2 gouramis, a gold one (approx 3") and a blue (2.5"). I had suspected the gold would soon

As per previous posts I bought 3 Dutch Rams around 2 weeks ago (one male/two females). A couple of days after buying them one of the females died. Now the remaining female does not appear to be at all well. She is very quiet and didn't feed this morning or properly yesterday (she ...

I've noticed lately that people recommend to increase the tank temp when Ich breaks out. This is because it speeds up the bacteria life cycle so medications can work faster to kill it (I think). If one were to not use medicaiton, should you then turn the tank temp

| Crazy Clown Loaches | 29 Sep 2005 01:50 GMT | 20 |
This is going to seem like a stupid question I think. I bought myself three clowns yesterday. I have been considering this for some time, having even decided against it despite the fact that I bought myself a much larger tank than I had orignally wanted/ bought just so I could

| Bettas and Gouramis | 28 Sep 2005 21:29 GMT | 10 |
Hi. My father went to the best LFS in the area and they sold him one of those dwarf gouramis with the red sides (yes, I know this probably isn't the scientific name :) ). They asked what other fish he had (55 gal tank) and he said tetras and a betta. They said "perfect - a nice ...
