So the bubble nest is finished and the deed has just been done07 Sep 2005 20:32 GMT5
Any advice on keeping my Dwarf Gourami babies if they ever hatch????
Mr Gourami is guarding the nest and the female has been seen off - plenty of
hiding places for her....the bubble nest is close to some Java Moss....any
suggestions as I've never bred Gourami's before....the male is ...
Sick tetra - white patch on back07 Sep 2005 20:31 GMT2
One of my rummy nose tetras is showing some discoloration on the back. It
looks like a white patch, with no visible texture to it (eg no bumps or
"cotton" growth). This has appeared overnight, after a large water change
(1/3 of the water). For pictures of the sick fish, go to:
Stocking My Aquarium07 Sep 2005 20:20 GMT2
Good day to all!
I'm going to start stocking my aquarium this weekend.  I want to create
a nice community environment.  I'd kind of like to go with fish that
are indigenous to one area and I really like Cory's so I'm thinking
Test Strips07 Sep 2005 15:01 GMT13
My LFS will perform free water testing for me, so I don't feel inclined
to go out and spend up on a heap of test kits.
I know most people feel that the 5-in-1 test strips are not
particularly accurate, but if I'm only going to use them occasionally,
Australian (Victorian) Quarantine Laws07 Sep 2005 09:26 GMT3
On the weekend, I went looking for zebra loaches (on the suggestion of
someone in another thread), only to find that they are not legal in
Australia.
Apparently, many of my LFS's are under investigation at the moment,
Newbie question: Help me pick my fish!07 Sep 2005 03:19 GMT10
I apologize for the newbie question, but I'm having trouble finding
sites that will give me the information I want. I'm a college student
who's always been fascinated by aquriums. In fact, I find myself making
trips to our science facility so I can spend a few minutes making faces

Tank dividers06 Sep 2005 17:44 GMT6
Does anyone know where I can get an aquarium divider to fit a 20 gal H
tank?  There is only one supplier on ebay, but they have expensive
shipping.
I live in Australia, so if anyone knows of a place in Australia, or
bio-wheel with hydor inline heater???05 Sep 2005 23:25 GMT4
I was thinking of picking up a bio-wheel pro 60 today to run to the
output of my eheim canister, to add some biological filtration to my
tank.  Trouble is, I have a hydor 300w inline heater in the mail (that
I'm pretty excited about).  Will the output water from the heater be

Mini Eclipse tank questions05 Sep 2005 19:56 GMT4
I'm thinking of getting an Eclipse Orca 2 or Eclipse 3 gallon tank for
my desk.  I've read that the filter motor warms the water.  How much
warmer than the room temperature does the water get?
How many power cords does it have?  Is it possible to put the light on a

I bought my first female Betta yesterday,...05 Sep 2005 06:14 GMT4
After about a year of trying to get my LFS to get in female Bettas, I
finally went to a different shop, one that is far from my home when
you're riding on a scooter [15? miles], and having to deal with Kamikaze
cab drivers, et cetera, but one very close to my brother's home.
Plec in trouble maybe05 Sep 2005 00:44 GMT2
Over the last couple of days I have noticed that my Snowball Plec in my
Malawi tank is getting picked on by his Mbuna companions. By picked on, I
mean they are going in there and trying to take a nibble. At the moment he
is getting a bit cross and scurrying off to hide but I am ...
