Ich? Fungus? Treatment? Questions...27 Nov 2005 18:04 GMT10
History:
Monday morning, we noticed a black molly with white spots all over -
went and looked at all the fish disease sites I'd bookmarked and
phoned an expert who recommended Protozin. First dose of Protozin on
Mollvs v Betta27 Nov 2005 17:52 GMT1
Got a 10 gallon tank (38ish liters). Five Black Mollies and one male
Betta. They get along just fine, but at feeding, the mollies act like
piranhas and eat all the food before the mellow betta has a chance to
get any.
Plant tearing betta's fins?27 Nov 2005 14:11 GMT8
I've got a betta and what I believe is Ceratophyllum demersum

Although my Clowns certainly did have Ich they now (those that I can
find) have definitely got Velvet - one poor chap is starting to lose his
skin - of the others only one is accounted for (died last night - :-( )

Regarding Koi-Lo's "info" = )~26 Nov 2005 17:40 GMT73
For those that have already sent this person to the killfile, it makes
me wonder about the bogus info this person is giving out. Newbies don't
know the difference.
It dives me nuts, but that is probably what they want.
Quarantining Question26 Nov 2005 17:35 GMT10
I don't have a QT tank set up and I want to add some fish to my
existing tank.
What other options do I have? Set up a QT tank is out of the question.
Thanks
Minor Nitrites26 Nov 2005 05:11 GMT2
I was testing the KH of the plant tank tonight and it seemed a little high,
so I decided to double check it with the all in one strips. The KH came out
Blue, which is not one of the colours on the chart. :) But I did notice a
slight hue to the Nitrite test. So I decided to double ...
Lost 3 of my Clown Loaches :-(26 Nov 2005 01:58 GMT31
I knew it was a possibility as I just couldn't get rid of the ich....the
other two still have spots but I'm hoping that I can still beat it. I
actually found out last night the probable cause of it's
persistence...there was a small trace of nitrite although the water had
Cotton Mouth?25 Nov 2005 20:03 GMT8
Over the weekend one of my platies started with a kind of grungy
looking mouth, white and bumpy.  Yesterday another one showed the same
thing.  Today I set up my Eclipse 3, no carbon filter, just the
biowheel which has been dry for months.  The two fish are now in there

My 10 gal tank with a 6-8" goldfish in it has turned cloudy over the
last three days.  It's been running for 6months or so and has never
done this before.
Your thoughts?
