I have a cute cellophane female betta and she is totally putting the rest of the guys to shame with her nesting prowess! What gives? LOL She was in a "community" tank with a couple of other females when I got her (got another female from the same tank, not one bubble from her) ...

Can anyone tell me if the Excel Flourish can do as well (for my plants) as the DIY. I think my tank is fertilized enough and the light source is good but the plants are just ok. Should I go back to DIY and if so is there another way other than mixing a new batch every

| Ram going dark | 11 Nov 2005 12:27 GMT | 2 |
I know a couple of you have Rams (Bolivian / ramirezi) so a quick question. Two nights ago I noticed that one of my rams looked a bit dark round the head area. He was eating fine, looked OK maybe a bit thinner than the other one, but nothing too out of the ordinary. I lost a ...

| Can this be true? | 10 Nov 2005 22:48 GMT | 27 |
This is our first tank. We have Black and Orange Mollys, tetras and 4 or 5 other species. My wife SWEARS that when she gets up in the morning and goes to feed the fish, when she walks over to the tank the Molly's are at the glass waiting for breakfast or they will come to the front ...

In an effort to maintain hope that my 10g tank will eventually cycle, I'm planning what to do when it's done... And at present, the plan is to get three neons (to keep company with the three that are in there now (long story, I know now, don't listen to fish stores)).

| Otomagic | 10 Nov 2005 20:54 GMT | 13 |
I bought 9 Otos last Friday and put them in my 10 gallon to let them ride out the quarantine before I move most of them to the big tank. This tank was really covered in Algae, so I figured I was good for quite a while before they ran out of food. Besides, they've never proven ...

| Gourami has spot on head | 10 Nov 2005 18:30 GMT | 2 |
I have a few Gouramis in my planted community tank, 75g. I guess it's been set up for close to 3 months now, it's been pretty stable no deaths in a while. Last week I added two new fish though, 2 African butterfly fish. It's probably a little overstocked, 7 gourami, 6 rosy barbs, ...

| betta upside down | 10 Nov 2005 15:29 GMT | 1 |
Today I found my female betta floating upside down in her bowl, which had a slightly foul odor and milky color. I thought she was dead but then she started swimming again. Anyway, I changed her water again--after just changing it a couple days ago--and she is doing

| Stocking for a 10g - does this sound OK? | 10 Nov 2005 06:13 GMT | 3 |
All, I have a 10g that's finishing cycling, so I'm planning for the future while I wait and would appreciate advice from your experience. For background, I started wrong (on the advice of a fish store person)
