Persistent ammonia 8.0ppm!!25 Jan 2006 20:39 GMT15
4 weeks ago, I found my Red Tailed Black Shark had died overnight,
despite showing no noticeable symptoms of illness or changes in
behaviour.  Also, most of the fish were suffering - gasping at the
surface or resting on the gravel, gasping.  My angelfish had mucus
Gourami Bubbles or Eggs25 Jan 2006 17:47 GMT5
My gold Gourami male is tending some stuff on the surface of my tank. I
haven't had Betas or Gouramis before, so I don't know if they are just
bubbles or if there are eggs in there as well. They look more substantial
than a simple air bubble, what do Gourami bubbles look like, ...
2 Silver Dollars in a 20g tank25 Jan 2006 05:38 GMT5
I keep a relatively simple 20g tank - usually about 10 fish, tetras,
danios, drawf gouramis, etc. About a month ago I picked up 2 silver
dollars. The lady at the fish store didn't say much about them other
than they were gentile and would "get bigger".

Airstones changing PH level

level change.

Hau kolas..well my hugely pregnant female a. splendens finally had her fry last night..however it looks like most of them

the tank in some live plant cover ...
Sick SAE24 Jan 2006 19:13 GMT6
The oldest of my SAE tribe (I've had him/her two years and is a good 5") has
been laying on the bottom of the tank breathing fast.
Now the SAE also looks as if his lips are red and swollen, but no fungus,
rash, or spots.

appreciate some help.

cork report23 Jan 2006 01:16 GMT3
A while back, I started looking at using cork on the back, and maybe the
sides, of my aquariums.  I found mention of others doing so, but nobody
mentioned a particular brand or type of cork.
So I started looking.  No luck with local stores, they either didn't

Hello all, Here's another new aquarium problem.
I have a 26 gallon setup with a Whisper Power filter (30 gallon
