Filtration: Scaling Ponds to Aquariums24 Feb 2006 19:22 GMT9
For reference, I have posted here before regarding the design of a
large outdoor tropical aquarium, integrated with a tropical water
garden.
The overall design continues, but I am struggling with the filtration.

Mpimbwe vs. 7 Stripe23 Feb 2006 03:49 GMT2
Okay, I've had my heart set on getting 6 Mpimbwe this week, but the store I

Plastic tasting water in new tank / filter23 Feb 2006 02:24 GMT4
I've just filled a new 48"x24"x16" tank. After a few days of running
with just the filter + heater the water tastes like plastic.
I ran the canister filter in the laundry sink with a few changes of
water for a day before attaching it to the tank.
Community betta23 Feb 2006 01:16 GMT7
I took a chance and added a young, blue betta to my little community
tank two days ago.  I never know what to expect but things are going
well.  The betta flared and lunged at the rasboras a bit, but they're
already adept at dodging cichlids so they shoaled up and swam away.
Aquarium Heaters - Tronic & Ebo Jager23 Feb 2006 00:42 GMT9
My current heater isn't keeping a very consistent temp for me so I am
shopping for a new one.  From what I've read the Tronic and Ebo Jager
seem to be the two top picks.  I'm confused at how the word
submersible is used.  Is the Ebo Jager only partially submersible?  I

Anyone have a couple of these to spare? I have a really small tank (2.5

Thanks.

I had ordered a SeaClearII 40 gallon tank from Petco. They drop-ship those
from the vendor. It took them more than 6 weeks and when it finally arrived,
it was broken :-(
Since I got vacation now, I wanted to set up the new tank. So I called about
