I found the company's website - they sure do make a lot of claims for the product, but give little clue as to what's in it. http://www.eshalabs.com/esha2000.htm There are 2 reviews from Practical Fishkeeping 1999, the first review

| 55-gal tank stocking question | 30 Mar 2006 23:41 GMT | 22 |
I'm working on setting up a new 55-gal tank and would like some ideas about fish. I'm thinking that I'd like to have some top feeders, some bottom feeders, and some in-between feeders. (My tetras only eat the food as it sinks -- won't go to the top or bottom to eat -- so I end up

Today when I left for work, my betta looked something like this: http://x30.xanga.com/3a4b5a013713041644924/m28326630.jpg When I came back from work today, he looked like this (the photo is a bit blurry but I think you get the gist):

| Goldfish - sudden deformed mouth ??? | 30 Mar 2006 18:51 GMT | 14 |
As I shut the lights off on the tanks I noticed one of my GF had a problem with his mouth. It looks like someone pinched his nostrils together and forced his bottom jaw out - into almost a point. It looked dislocated and very narrow vertically (from the front). From the side ...

| Is there a natural way to raise tank alkalinity | 30 Mar 2006 10:10 GMT | 19 |
I have a 20g fresh water tank that is 3+ years old. Our water is naturally soft and I have problems keeping the PH up. It is a community tank and I would like to keep the PH around 7.0. It is currently about 6.6.

A really good friend of mine is giving up fishkeeping and has offered to pass on his 120 litre (30 US Gal / 25 Imp Gal) tank. I've been wondering what to put into it. These are my ideas: (1) Small tiger barb community: 8 tiger barbs, 4 swordtails, 1

| Breeding Angel Fish | 29 Mar 2006 14:20 GMT | 4 |
Two of my Angels are in the process of laying and fertilising 300-500 eggs on a leaf in my 50gal tank. I've bred Angles before (this pair were two of the 40-50 that I reared); I've set up a small bottle of distilled water to hang in the tank and treated it with a drop of ...

| Recommendation or 2 about dealing with overpopulation.... | 28 Mar 2006 18:52 GMT | 41 |

| Melafix does not contain tea tree oil | 28 Mar 2006 18:21 GMT | 40 |
I found the MelaFix patent and now I know why the stuff doesn't smell of tea tree. There's no tea tree oil in it. Everyone (Including Doc Johnson at KoiVet) just assumed that Melaleuca referred to M. alternifolia. I think it's a slightly misleading marketing ploy because
