Got an albino cory...and eggs??!!04 Mar 2006 05:15 GMT9
I wanted to see if my male betta could get along with an albino
cory...didn't know if it was a male or female, I did get one of the
kind of plump ones from the store.  Well, all seemed well for the first
night, next day okay, but yesterday Rudolph started going after the

floating plants hinder light diffusion?03 Mar 2006 00:57 GMT11
Have read several posts about value of floating plants re water
quality and making fish real more comfortable.
I think I'd like to try but wouldn't that have an effect on all the
plants at the bottom(stunted growth and all other sorts of problems)??
HELP! Jebo R338 tank assembly.02 Mar 2006 21:14 GMT4
I'm sorry to bother you guys, but I'm at my witts end. We were given a
bunch of fish in a small tank that was filthy and poorly maintained. :-(
I cleaned it out and put in a filter from our tank (a small one), Now
the fish are happy, but we needed a bigger tank to combine the two. I ...

It'll look better with algae and plants growing up the sides, but it'll
never look real.  That's ok.  It was designed to the fish's

TFH magazine and  fish aging.....02 Mar 2006 16:26 GMT29
Hi there fishy folks.
Who was it that mentioned wanting to read about fish aging in Tropical
Fish Hobbyist magazine?
I have it right here and I wasn't overly impressed, but I can go over
moon/night ligting02 Mar 2006 14:18 GMT3
ok I mainly have nocturnal fish, I have now 3 Clown Loaches 2 about 3.5"
and 1 about 1.5" 2 yoyo loaches about 4.25", and 3 upsidedown cats about
0.75". My question is what kind of light could I use @ night to see them
without it bothering them.
Small Bottom Cleaners?02 Mar 2006 11:53 GMT12
I've got 6 H Rasboras in a 7 gallon tank. I'd really like to get some
sort of bottom feeder that could clean up any food that sinks to the
bottom. I've tried ghost shrimp, but I had a couple die on me so I don't
want to kill any more. Obviously it would have to be something small ...
Ich gone; now fungus?02 Mar 2006 04:26 GMT15
It seems (in my admittedly limited experience) that every time we
treat ich in the aquarium, we then get fungal infections. There are
no signs of ich now (treated with King British - seemed to work
faster than Protozin) but a couple of the fish now have white
quarinteen01 Mar 2006 21:58 GMT3
I on the weekend bought three upsidedown catfish, and one Clown loach, I
put them in a cycled unused tank as a home for the cats and quarinteen
for the CL. Where I got my fish I trust as they themseves quarinteen
their new arivals, but I thought it would not hurt.  My question is ...
Spawning Mop Question01 Mar 2006 18:41 GMT3
I've read about them, never used them.
do I just get yarn from the fabric store?  I wonder if there are
chemicals used in the yarn preparation that would be harmful to the
fish.
The Future of Ponds and Fish..our ecosystems01 Mar 2006 17:16 GMT3
No doubt we are living in a world with too many problems and far too
few answers. Many millions regularly go hungry. Increasing numbers are
addicted to drugs. More and more families are breaking up. Incest and
family violence are constantly in the news. The air we breathe and the
Small tank - fast nitrate build up01 Mar 2006 16:38 GMT15
I'm a bit of a beginner at all this.  I have a small 6 gallon tank with
a good filter and an airstone.  It's planted up and has 3 x 1 inch
pentazona barbs and 2 x 1/2 inch tiny little cat fish which I though
were bagrus ornatus but I've since discovered are pigmy corys(!)  I
Fertiliser01 Mar 2006 14:37 GMT3
Hi..
Just try to cultivate bog plants in tiny acrylic green
houses on a window sill in our conservatory.
Gave each a 4W Lumilux fluorescent tube instead of a heater,
