I read a suggestion that a computer UPS was a good way to keep filters
and heaters going during a power outage.  CompUSA has an 800VA unit on
sale.  Assuming VA as roughly equivalent to watts, that would run a 100
watt heater for 8 hours if the heater was on all the time.  

since I am always asking things I thought I would add something.

I'm in the midst of setting up a 30g Long tank to move Mr. Plecto and
his friends, the Rosey Barbs, a big CAE and some gypsy feeder guppy
males. The tank itself has been filled with water for 7 days. On
filling I added Cycle per bottle instructions and transplanted swords
