| Ooh, I *like* clowns :-) | 11 Mar 2006 22:27 GMT | 3 |
I put three clown loaches into my tank yesterday. Granted, the snail problem wasn't a major one - but there's not a snail to be seen now! Those critters are *efficient* LOL And they are such characters - I can really see why people get hooked

| Quarantine/Treat plants | 11 Mar 2006 20:59 GMT | 8 |
I just purchased a couple of plants from a shop I had never visited. Stupid me, but they went straight into the community aquarium after a quick rinse under the tap. Now 4 days later I have noticed White Spot (Ich) on my pair of Rams. I am treating the whole tank with malachite

| Breeding Amano shrimp | 11 Mar 2006 19:01 GMT | 9 |
I've got a big fat female Amano shrimp (Caridina japonica) carrying eggs. Everything I read disagrees about the amount of salt needed to raise the juveniles. I've also read that eggs carried by a female may not even be fertilized. Has anyone bred these critters?

I recently purchased a 90 gallon aquarium and want to use it as a partial room divider between my living and dining areas. My question is, do I need to give any consideration to load weight on my floor joists. My tank is only 18 inches wide and the proposed location of the

I'm in Israel and would like to read English language books on freshwater aquariums. Since the only way I can do that is to order from Amazon, there is no way to browse the books before buying them. Is there a recomended reading list?

This weekend after a long time of having 2 Zebra Danios (I had 3 when I upgraded to a 10gal tank a few months back, but one disappeared) and an Algea Eater, I decided to decorate the tank more and bought a few new aquatic plants and ended up getting 2 Sunset Platies. I asked for a

| Resilience of fish | 09 Mar 2006 22:16 GMT | 18 |
I am constantly impressed by the resilience of fish. I had to move a tank at the weekend in a hurry. I squashed a cardinal between the net and the tank which left it temporarily stunned :( Never mind, into the bag it plopped...

| Oranda goldfish | 09 Mar 2006 12:46 GMT | 14 |
Hi, please be blunt with me about this. I went to a local petstore a few weeks ago and fell in love with a tiny oranda that they had in there. Would I be overstocking my 55g with 5 fancy goldfish in there? It would give them 11g each. I am overfiltering, using a Fluval 404.

| Nikki - your bettas and guppies | 09 Mar 2006 01:10 GMT | 5 |
I'm not even going to try to quote... ;-) I've tried to give you directions but they're spread out and buried in different threads. First, you're changing water in all your tanks. This is the most important thing. It will keep the baby guppies alive and heal the
