i thought i would share this, I have different filters in each betta tank,

Need ick cure.06 Apr 2006 08:16 GMT12
I've got a planted 58 gallon tank that has got some ick since I've
introduced 3 small clown loaches. There are about a dozen amano shrimp,
a cherry barb, a few otos and a big ole SAE (yes, a real SAE). This is
the first ick breakout that I've had in about five years so I'm
pond planting05 Apr 2006 22:14 GMT5
Just a quickie... my pond plants arrive tomorrow... I managed to
source some aquatic compost... but no hessian to line the pots.
Any suggestions for alternatives, could I cut up an old t-shirt
even?
red cap goldfish pectoral fin05 Apr 2006 05:21 GMT15
Hey I posted the other day my black moor died, so I have been watching all
the others close, and I noticed one of the red caps pectoral fins on his
left side is not moving, the other one looks to be normal and moving, he is
still swimming all over, eating, playing with others, I ...
Odd behaviour with Pearlscale05 Apr 2006 01:19 GMT1
Hello, just a quick question to ask about some odd behaviour with my
Pearlscale.  He is chasing the other fish around one minute and then
resting the next.  He is getting quite big now, probalby around 3 1/2
inches long.  I suspect that he could be the father of the fry that i
Laundered foam filter pads safe for aquarium inhabitants? A question  I have been wanting to ask for a long time now....05 Apr 2006 00:40 GMT3
Is laundered foam (or other) filter pads safe for freshwater aquarium
inhabitants? Any chance the laundry soap (detergent) leaves any residues
that are harmful for aquarium inhabitants (snails, fish, plants other
invertebrates, etc.) could still be on filter media that has been ...
UPDATE Water parameters in new Aquarium04 Apr 2006 10:56 GMT2
I just finished checking the water in my "new" 33g community tank. The
tank was initially set up 18 days ago. The first 7 days it was planted
and treated with Cycle. On the 8th day guppies (5 male feeders) were
added and water parameters were sampled.
aggressive gourami04 Apr 2006 08:41 GMT8
I have a 20gal aquarium with 7 tiger barbs. About a week ago I added 2
three-spot gourami's.  Soon after I added the gourami's I noticed that
the bigger one was chasing the little one. I assumed maybe that it was
stess from being moved and the gourami seemed to always back off. But
Itsy Bitsy Goldfish.04 Apr 2006 06:30 GMT25
Hello.  As most of you know I have had numerous teething problems with
my 4 fancy goldfish.  A few weeks ago I set up a hospital tank as my
Ryukin appeared to have a swim bladder problem.  Well she is doing fine
now.  Thank you to everybody.
Aquarium equipment plugs04 Apr 2006 01:58 GMT4
Will the filter, lights, aerator, etc., for my 55-gallon aquarium
have plugs with three prongs or two?
All the plugs for my small aquariums (10-gal and 2.5-gal) are two-
pronged, but I'm wondering if the larger equipment will have the
Snail Control03 Apr 2006 21:09 GMT11
Well, looks like I must have missed some snail eggs while setting up my
new 45 gallon planted tank, as I have a population of what I think are
pond snails crawling around. I've been removing them manually, but I
would like some better way of control. Current (intentional) ...
CLR ingredients? - Hard water stains03 Apr 2006 21:04 GMT9
Does anyone know if CLR (Calcium Lime Rust remover) contains any soap? I've
used both CLR and Vinegar to clean hard water stains off the canopy on my
tank. The Vinegar is far less effective and takes much longer to do the job.
But the CLR (Phosphoric and Glycolic acid) seems to ...
Barrel pond plans / questions03 Apr 2006 13:02 GMT34
Okey doke... I now have a half barrel in my yard and want to know
if my plans are sane, please! I have googled lots but basically
I like to keep things simple, and also have no water or electricity
supply to my back yard.
Neon tetras dropping like flies03 Apr 2006 08:33 GMT129
I bought 12 Neons for my new tank at the beginning of the month (just
over 3 weeks ago). The tank did a mini-cycle which I fixed by seeding it
(nitrites got to 0.1 so not massive). All settled down so I added 6
Panda Cories - 2 didn't make it but I got credit as the LFS ...
Tetra's03 Apr 2006 04:43 GMT9
I went out to the petstore yesterday and just stood in front of the
tanks planning what and when I'm going to get the thousands of fish
that I want.  I need at least another 15 tanks and they all need to be
at least 120g each. :-)  Not much hope there.
