I've got beard algae in my 10G tank. I was curious if someone could reccomend a good fish or product that would take care of the algae? The tank is about two years old, and fully cycled. The only inhabitants are a group of 7 neon tetra. The tank gets water changes of 20% every

| Sudden Death | 26 Apr 2006 15:23 GMT | 5 |
Hi. Maybe you folks can help with this baffling problem. I set up a new 10 gal. tank and ran it for 3 days. I added stress coat to the water (well water - no chlorine) and the temp was stable at 76.5 degrees. I bought 4 white cloud minnorws (supposed to be hardy),

I have recently aquired a 3 inch "Synodontis Nigriventris" (Upside Down Catfish). Although this fish does swim entirely upside down, it to does not exhibit many of the other identification marks of a true Nigriventris. The fish is entirely black with long wiskers and

It's been 20 days since I first setup my 55 gal tank with the betta pair. It's starting to clear now..yippeee!! I'm considering the purchase of two Penguin 350-B Power Filters. Would this be overkill regarding the bio-wheels and their role in growing

| angelfish problem | 25 Apr 2006 16:41 GMT | 8 |
I have a pair of anglefish and they both have some stringy white fuzz coming out of one of their "nostril-like" holes and one of the fish is rubbing its nose against the glass. In another, probably unrelated problem I noticed that the breeding tube of the male instead of being

| Algae problem | 25 Apr 2006 05:07 GMT | 20 |
I have finally decided to tackle my aquarium's algae problem. For many months now I have simply bit the bullet and scrubbed my tank with a algae scrubber, but over time the situation grew out of control because I couldn't reach all the little nooks and crannies and the tank was ...

| Cleaning filter during cycling | 25 Apr 2006 00:25 GMT | 24 |
I am starting a new 10 gal tank (it's almost 2 weeks old). Just wondering if it advisable to clean the filter at all during cycling or just leave it be? Thus far it is showing now signs of clogging so I'm thinking I should just leave it. Any thoughts? Will it need at least a ...

| Betta prob | 24 Apr 2006 21:40 GMT | 9 |
My usually healthy, happy betta seems to have something wrong. I am not sure what the problem is, but his back-side seems to be (what I can only describe as) "rotting away". A little of his tail is missing from around there and he has what seems to be an injury or chunk taken ...

| New Angels, again | 24 Apr 2006 13:48 GMT | 54 |
I returned to the original scene of my ill fated angel fish yesterday morning, I'm still convinced that they were good fish and I killed them by messing around with too many ferts and not watching my pH and other water parameters. There were 4 left in the tank from which I had
