Anyone know what's wrong with my betta?12 Apr 2006 17:58 GMT12
I bought a new betta a few weeks ago and noticed some spots on him as
soon as I got him home.  (I bought from a lsf I have never used before
and will never use again now - I found out later that they had a bad
whitespot problem and were still selling the fish regardless.)  At the

Angel In Trouble11 Apr 2006 17:56 GMT41
Black Marble. Between nickel and quarter size. Added to 55 three weeks
ago with 5 others, purchased at the same time but from two different
"groups". The second group is also marble, less black, with orange
features, just enough orange to tell it's in their genes somewhere.

Water heater11 Apr 2006 17:31 GMT5
Some-one gave me a 10 gallon tank with heater, filter and pump, my
problem is with the heater, it never turns off, it just keeps on making
the water hotter and hotter. It has a red dial to adjust the heat I
have it turned to the lowest position, but it still stays on. I am
Fish for Eclipse System 311 Apr 2006 14:48 GMT4
I have an Eclipse System 3 (3 gallons) that was a home for a betta.
Sadly, he died today. I'm not sure that I want another betta at this
time. I think I want to have the tank unheated and have something new in
it. However, I can't think of what I could put in a little tank. Any
Wow11 Apr 2006 14:47 GMT4
In a 55G tank I used RUGF and also added a couple airstones while I
had a couple goldfish in there.  Plants were doing poorly, a sword
plant growing smaller and smaller, anubius covered with algae, java
fern slowly dying.
algae -- friend or foe11 Apr 2006 03:06 GMT4
I had a recent algae outbreak in my aquarium. I cleaned most of it up
but I had a rock in the aquarium that was covered with algae. I
thought the rock looked better this way so I left it.
I was wondering is algae a bad thing to have in an aquarium can it

guppies underground filter09 Apr 2006 23:24 GMT1
My fancy guppy tank has been pretty stable, the last problem i had was when
i added a few guppies from the lfs and ended up with a disease in the tank

Tank of doom :-(09 Apr 2006 15:55 GMT20
Having some serious problems with fish deaths at the moment, and really
running out of ideas on how to stop the deaths.
Problems started a couple of weeks ago, when I had a couple of golden
mollys die the same day.  My immediate reaction was to do a partial water
ARRGH!!! QT mistake with Chloramine09 Apr 2006 15:12 GMT3
ugh!
I've been running a 5G quarantine tank..  and been doing lots of water
changes both due to medication and persistant ammonia level (and zero
nitrite/nitrate, so the tank is no where near being cycled).
