Anyone raising Glo®  Fish?29 Aug 2006 05:06 GMT10
I'm not a dealer or trying to advertise for any sites.
That being said, does anyone have any GloFish®?
Can you tell me anything about them that you have found?
Don't know what they are?  They are promoted as fish that glow in the

Betta Spawning: Overnight?26 Aug 2006 01:30 GMT3
For you folks that have bred bettas, do you seperate them overnight? My
male and female are showing strong interest in each other. The female
has her vertical stripes and the male is chasing her around. She is
getting sort of beat up with some rips in her fins and I don't feel
Questions on a sick betta25 Aug 2006 20:18 GMT13
I noticed my betta was sick about a week ago, (and probably was sick
longer but didn't notice).  Since then I have been giving him some
Betta BettaFix Remedy , and also furazone green.  I also began to put
aquarium salt in the tank.
Stocking a 125 Tank22 Aug 2006 04:01 GMT5
I have a 125 tank that has about 10 cory cats, 2 Bushy Nose plecos and
a handful of danios.
Any suggestions on what I could put into this tank to get a nice
community balance up to speed?

Hi I decided to get a tank the other day....

big!

Since I am limited on time here at work, I will get straight to m
halfbeak-like fish22 Aug 2006 02:15 GMT6
I saw some real halfbeaks finally and quite liked them, but I remember
they're a tiny bit quirky to keep (only take fresh food, etc.). Are
there any species that look similar but are easier to keep? The gars
and pikes seem to be it, but grow far too large.
Molly about to give birth22 Aug 2006 02:14 GMT3
And the male is following her around like a crazy fish. All I have to
segregate the female from the rest are one of those square nets you hang on
the side of the tank. Someone posted in reply to my other opst about my
preganat sword and molly that these would probably stress and ...
Gravel or Sand21 Aug 2006 20:49 GMT14
A friend is setting up a fresh water tank he has been given. It's tall
rather than long and fits in a corner unit. He's not sure weather to go
for sand or gravel at the bottom of the tank. What are the pro's and
cons? Is sand easy clean?
Betta with swelling21 Aug 2006 15:02 GMT14
We have a lovely pink female Betta that's been with us for almost a
year. We noticed she was starting to swell up in the chest area so I
quarantined her and gave her Epsom salts for constipation, what I've
been lead to believe is a common reason for swelling.

false SAEs get along? Also how many real SAEs can I add in this tank
without it being overcrowded or not enough territory for the false and
help with male guppies20 Aug 2006 00:41 GMT4
I have been having some problems with keeping my male guppies alive. When the
tank was first set up I started with 1 male and 1 female guppy. They lived
for about 3 months then both died a few days appart. So I went to PetCo and
got 2 females and 2 males. The males then both died a ...
How much can a 2 gallon tank hold animal wise?20 Aug 2006 00:34 GMT8
I have a new 2 gallon tank with a bio-wheel, carbon filter and full
hood. I have one betta in it right now but I'd like to add two African
Dwarf frogs and/or some glass shrimp.
Is two gallons two small to achieve this?
Custom acrylic tank wanted18 Aug 2006 08:49 GMT1
I'd like to buy an acrylic half cylinder tank 42" wide x 36" tall x 24" deep
to fit in a specific spot in my home. Anybody know where to get one, or have
one made? I'd need a matching base & cover (preferably oak), too. Width  is
the critical dimension. I realize this might cost ...
