Angel Fish Behavior: crazy or mating?09 Aug 2006 11:31 GMT8
I have two koi angel fish, both approx. 1 year old who grew up
together. Both are about 3" in the body, with substantially longer
fins. They have always bickered a lot, chased each other around the
tank, took turns being the bully. But lately their behavior has become
Betta question09 Aug 2006 11:27 GMT106
Am new to bettas and was wondering how big of a tank is needed for 1

I would like to get 2 and was wondering if I could have 2 in one tank
and if so how big a tank??
SAE temperature tolerances09 Aug 2006 11:16 GMT22
My office tank has been running a little hot lately (82-84+) . The room temp
hovers around 28°C at the moment, so the SAEs are near their max temp?
I did a water change recently and matched the input temp  to the existing
tank temp. The next night I saw an SAE lying on the bottom ...
Keeping a dragonfly nymph08 Aug 2006 23:07 GMT4
recently, 3 days ago I found a dragonfly nymph in my fish tank! it must
have come in with the plants cos there's no other possible away, unless
a pair of dragonflies snuck in the middle of the night, got into the
tank cover and mated? I now have this nymph in a water-filled jam jar
Mono SeaBaes08 Aug 2006 23:02 GMT8
I think I'll ask the group about the proper care and stewardship of Mono
Seabaes.  I picked 4 up at Walmart not long ago.  I read where they
would do well in "all water types..ie- fresh, brackish, marine".  I
asked the clerk =? how much salt they were using.  I leave ya'll to

But don't fish grow only to the size of their aquarium07 Aug 2006 05:30 GMT1
We hear this question on a seemingly daily basis, as we tell customers
that certain fish are likely to outgrow their home aquarium. In a common
scenario, a customer with a 10 or 20 gallon aquarium just can't live
without a couple of those cute little baby Oscars or Jack ...
Clown Loach Sizes06 Aug 2006 05:37 GMT4
For all the Clown Loach keepers, I'm curious as to how large I can
expect them to become being kept in my 55 Gal.  I've read where they can
grow to be impressive sizes and I understand that they take a long time
to reach their full lengths. I received these as a gift and I'm
Red Gills help!!06 Aug 2006 05:33 GMT2
I've got a tigerbarb which is not in a good condition.
He's got werid puffed up gills and like red bits coming out of the
bottom of his gills..like red circluar bits - am not sure if this is
his gills inflammed or some sort of bad growth and his fins keep
Good article on Bettas in TFH06 Aug 2006 03:38 GMT21
Finally a good article on Bettas in Tropical Fish Hobbyist magazine.
(Koi-Lo...please read it. It basically says every thing I have been
saying over and over that you claim is my own opinion, and not fact.
Learn something and give your bettas the proper care they need!)

Roy Hauer Posing as Larry Blanchard of TFM04 Aug 2006 21:24 GMT12
Well Well...If It isn't Roy Boi Hauer.  Using another person's name
from the Aquaria groups and a member's identity from the Google
groups?
I think it would be wise to get in touch with Larry Blanchard and
Temperd Glass Tanks Question04 Aug 2006 21:07 GMT9
Hello all, I asked my professos about the tensile strength of temperd
glass and other questions about stress, loads, strain/sheer tests for
any given thickness.
Does anyone here have some ideas on specifications and structural
