First time I ever spawned betta's. I believe it is the first time these two have as well. I get a 10 gallon aquariam set up. Have a cup with some plastic wrap so he can make a bubble next. I get home from work today, and both their tails are split in half... but they seem to

Given the current concerns about climate change, we're getting serious in my household about reducing out energy use . We don't own a car, and we're renting our flat (so solar hot water etc is out). We've swapped all our light bulbs for compact fluorescents, and bought a

I just picked up a 2213 for dirt cheap on Craigslist. I plan to use it supplement an HOB on a 55G that's home to one juvenile Oscar. I'm looking for recommendations on what would be best to stack it with. Any input would be much appreciated.

| Tank Cycling problem | 06 Dec 2006 20:58 GMT | 4 |
I've just sent up a new 3 foot tank (4 days ago) with loads of plants. No fish yet. I have been 'feeding" the tank with some food and the stuff is going all nice and furry as uneaten food does. Ammonia has measureed at Zero from the beginning (I am guessing the

I have a betta, not sure of his age but probably about 2 years old. No change in tank, water, etc. he is in a 1 gallon lighted tank with underwater filter. This past month he has been laying around 95% of the time, on the bottom of the tank. He was eating a little bit, albeit ...

Hello everyone. I am trying to get my first tank set up (55 gal). I have read much on the web about initial set up of the tank and being that i have 2 small children who i did not want to explain the many deaths that could be involved in doing a traditional cycle, i decided to

| Injured betta photos - advice? | 04 Dec 2006 14:56 GMT | 1 |
Three months ago our betta had a small bump at the base of its tail fin. Now the bump has grown to about 4x4mm, sticking about 2mm out. It's white and doesn't appear to have any fuzz on it. http://static.flickr.com/120/313500599_677ffd3331.jpg
