Cheap and easy  aquarium strip lights27 Dec 2007 21:59 GMT3
They sell PVC rain gutter in 10 foot lengths for about $5 a section in
most big box stores. It comes in White or Brown. They also sell Left
and Right end caps, which merely snap onto the PVC rain gutter. PVC
rain gutter can be cut easy with a fine tooth blade (hack saw works

I just inherited a 55g freshwater tank.  I gutted it and started fresh. It's
been a week, and I started with five 1-2" fish.  The water is clear and the
water tests are all where they should be.  I will be adding another 5 fish in
a week or so.  I know nothing at all about aquariums ...
Its readily apparent some here do not like to be outdone27 Dec 2007 13:57 GMT6
Seems to me this Tynk person with the aol accress has a chip on his
shoulder and for some reason or other is dead set on destroying an
otherwise recovering news group. Perhaps its time Tynk learns how to use
kill filters and moves on with his life and stop being so interuptive to ...

I wonder what new game TYNK and her buddy Gill Passman will now try to
instill in an never ending attempt to be in total control of the
aquaria groups.
Lets see,.........just a quick rundown of some of their more infamaous
RM a bit more on light bulbs (NO florescent and CF types)26 Dec 2007 04:11 GMT5
The  Rated Life of a bulb, as supplied by the manufacturer, is an
average of how long the bulb will light.   About 2% light for 180% of
the rated life, about 2% light for 20% of the rated life, though by
far the vast majority fall close to the manufacturers' averages. The

Removing Dried Algae and Lime Scale24 Dec 2007 14:27 GMT18
I've just moved house and I'm ready to restart my Juwel 180.
The juwel has a heater filter tower in the corner which now has
