Anchor worm09 Sep 2003 19:45 GMT1
I just got three fantails from the pet store ( a week ago ) and failed to
recognize the anchor worm hanging off of one of them.  Now they all have
anchor worm.   Websites I've seen recommend picking off the worms
individually from the fish and then treating each spot with neosporin, ...
Snail Dissappeared09 Sep 2003 16:42 GMT2
How does a small snail (about 1cm) just dissappear one day.
Could he have crawled out of the tank? The fish are very small,
there is no way they could have eaten him.
Do Snails generally stay inside the Aquarium?
Black Moor with white spots (kinda)09 Sep 2003 16:16 GMT2
I have two Moors, one is much bigger than the other
(I'm assuming the big one is female and smaller male).

Thanks,

Lost a fish08 Sep 2003 06:05 GMT6
I guess most of you have heard about the electrical problems
we have been experiencing in Ontario and the Eastern
portion of the US.  Well unfortunately, I was without
electricity from 4h30 in the afternoon until around 6h30
Which one is beter ?08 Sep 2003 05:27 GMT2
I'm planning to buy another brand new aquarium for my goldies and I
was thinking should I put it outside the house (so that they can get
natural sunlights) or should I put it inside the house (using UV
light to keep them warm).
Filter problems...06 Sep 2003 04:20 GMT1
Cleaned my tank out this afternoon, and ever since my Fluvel biolife filter
has been making strange gurgling noises, a bit like water going down a
drain. It's like the power to it cuts out, then comes back again. I've tried
cleaning the motor and propeller, but it doesn't make any ...
Fish sitting on the bottom06 Sep 2003 02:13 GMT11
I have a fish that seems to be lazy lately.  He sits on the bottom of the
tank, just staring around, unless he thinks it's time to be fed, and then
he's very active and swimming.
No problems with water parameters (good PH, no ammonia or nitrites), good

Hazy Water - Help!05 Sep 2003 03:16 GMT7
I am running a 33 gallon tank with three goldfish (one red cap oranda & two
black moors).  The filter is part of a 'Marineland Eclipse 3' hood, and
yesterday I added a Fluval 3+ filter to provide extra filtration.  In both
filters, I have high filtration polyester 'pads' and there ...
Current04 Sep 2003 15:33 GMT7
How does the current produced by the filter affect goldfish?  I have a an
Aquaclear 200 filter in a 20 gallon long tank with two small goldfish.  Is
this going to affect them adversely, and can they sleep without being
dragged around?  Thanks for any comments or answers.
Some newbie questions04 Sep 2003 09:15 GMT2
I'm new to keeping goldfish in an aquarium.  A friend bought me a small
(about 4 UK gallons) aquarium for my birthday last month, and I've been on
a very steep learning curve since then.  It's a self contained unit with
light and filter, and currently contains 4 X 1" fish - 2 ...
changing tanks03 Sep 2003 23:54 GMT3
I'm about to move my moor and fantail to a larger tank. The one I've got is
only a 10gal one so I've now got a 25 gal one, 2nd hand. Although the
previous owner swears he's had no disease in the tank, I'm not taking any
chances, so I want to make sure it's thoroughly disinfected. ...
Heater Necessary for GF?01 Sep 2003 03:25 GMT3
I've never heated a bowl or a tank with GF ever. don't recall seeing
anyone else do it either.   I thought room temp or "colder" water was
their best environment.
It does get to be a bit cold at times here in theSF Bay Area. We don't
