| INTERBREEDING? | 21 Oct 2003 15:24 GMT | 1 |
I've got a question... What I'm going to ask might be common knowledge to most of you, but i'm relatively new to the pond scene. How likely is it that different kinds of goldfish will interbreed in a pond?

| Smelly Water? | 21 Oct 2003 15:22 GMT | 2 |
when doing a water change I took a sniff of the water. Found nothing offensive and it seemed quite neutral. I assume that is a good sign. Am guessing if I do smell something a bit nasty that more checking should be done. Just curious if water sniffing should be used

| recurrent popeye | 21 Oct 2003 14:58 GMT | 8 |
I have an oranda who developed popeye in one eye a couple of weeks ago and I assumed he had just knocked it because it was only the one eye and it healed within 48 hours with no medication at all. Then a week after that had healed, he developed popeye in both eyes. This time I ...

| Newbie and some angry fish | 21 Oct 2003 01:23 GMT | 5 |
All of excitement in my new flat, I decided to go out and buy some fish to make it nice in there, although it's something I've been thinking about for a few months now. I am a total neophite in the fish business, I basically asked the guy at the store for the right stuff

| Ranchu hanging out in the corner of the tank | 20 Oct 2003 18:50 GMT | 5 |
I have three very active goldfish (two Orandas and one Ranchu), but the fourth (another Ranchu) likes to hang out by itself in the corner of the tank. When fed, it'll join the others, otherwise it'll just hang out in the corner. Is there anything wrong or do some fish prefer to be ...

| Is there an animal that will eat goldfish poop? | 20 Oct 2003 18:01 GMT | 5 |
My 6 goldfish poop a lot in their 42 gallon hex tank, I was searching for a tank mate that might eat their debris. Will snails do the job? Or are there any other creatures better suited to this?

| Overfed! | 20 Oct 2003 16:54 GMT | 8 |
My 2 1/2 year old loves to feed our fish. Usually this takes place under close supervison. Today, she grabbed a chair, reached the fish food & proceeded to give her "fishies" a big toddler handful of flake food. "Look Mommy, the fishies are happy!" she informs me with a big smile ...

| a proper diet? | 20 Oct 2003 03:39 GMT | 1 |
I'm really begining to wonder what I should feed my fish. At present I have two or three blocks of corgette (zuccini?) floating around my tank. My fish are happy to munch. In the morning I feed them one frozen blood worm tablet. This is

Does anyone know a recipe for goldfish safe pH reducer? I'm curious if some-sort of combination of household items or common things bought from a grocery store will work. Yeah, my chemistry knowledge sucks.

| Aeration: where from? | 17 Oct 2003 18:55 GMT | 5 |
Newbie Question: Does aquarium aeraton come only from the rising STREAM of bubbles from a pump's air stone, or from the ripple effect of those bubbles agitating the water surface? Background: 2-gallon Marineland Eclipse Explorer tank populated by a few

| Catfish? | 16 Oct 2003 08:22 GMT | 7 |
Recently I developed an algae problem on the back wall of my tank and over my gf's tank ornaments. My plant had also been "goldfished". I popped into the LGF shop and was promptly told that no fish would eat algae. I've now decided I'll never go back to that shop, I've
