Plants for Goldfish 30 Nov 2003 17:59 GMT4

goldfish won't eat.  Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks in advance,

Fantail losing color29 Nov 2003 17:27 GMT8
I bought a fantail about 2 months ago because of its coloring, nice
orange with a great black stripe on it's back, black tail and touches of
gold/yellow on it's belly.  I noticed 3 days ago that the black is
alomost completely gone form it's back and very faded in it's tail.  ...
Calling Dr. Solo (Salt dip Q-tine details)29 Nov 2003 16:03 GMT1
Dear Ingrid,
You mentioned in a post after a salt/peroxide dip to
crank up the temp to 84degF to kill off Aeromonas.
What temperature should I have the water during the salt/peroxide dip?

glofish29 Nov 2003 15:59 GMT7
A topic for much debate.  A fish that glows itself.  Does this mean
the purchase of a light for my tank is redundant?

Do goldfish recognise their own reflection?29 Nov 2003 04:20 GMT8
My one always looks around at the sides of the tank,

himself :o?

Getting that really original tank look28 Nov 2003 20:57 GMT3
I've been searching for ages to create a ying yang garden in my tank.
I've removed all the gravel and found a fish shop that sold pebbles.
That and a bridge, and I have a smattering on the floor, a few big
'uns on top, a bridge crossing over the white to the black pebbles.
Background Coming off!28 Nov 2003 20:50 GMT7
I got some Juwel background stuff that you silicon onto the back
of the tank - well it seems to be coming loose at the bottom.
Would pushing it back with a rock be ok, or will this entice anaerobic bacteria
to grow?
Feeding dishes for fish?27 Nov 2003 22:30 GMT2
I seem to recall reading about someone here that was lowering a dish
into the tank, and putting the food in there, so it was easier to tell
when the fish were done, etc.
Could someone fill me in on the details of that?
Goldfish v Goldfish?27 Nov 2003 17:42 GMT3
One of my two "goldfish" has just died.  Actually he/she? was a Shubunkin
and lived in my garden pond with another fish which I was told was a
goldfish but appears fairly colourless.  This second fish I am moving
indoors for the winter and wanted another as a companion.  I was ...
goldfish keeping _before_ electricity ??27 Nov 2003 17:35 GMT9
I am curious ... goldfish have been bred and kept for centuries ...
while most current filtering technologies use electricity ... how did
the Chinese keep healthy goldfish before electricity?   Any ideas?  I am
interested to see what I/we might learn from the traditional ...
fish losing color27 Nov 2003 17:21 GMT7
I have a panda butterfly that I think is very healthy in the sense
that he eats well, and is very active. However I have noticed a
significant color change change since I've had him. When I first got
him, his black and white was very distinctive. Now he is more black
