Gravel swallowing fish13 Nov 2003 15:15 GMT2
This morning NTL finally installed my cable connection (3 weeks late)
and whilst chatting, I noticed my fish sitting on the bottom.
Thinking "oh-oh" I decided to have a closer look.  After a few seconds
the fish started swimming backwards and was opening his mouth a lot.

Ah the joys of mothering 6 fish...  Well here's the LONG story..

I know its fairly common for this to happen occasionally, but does anyone
know what actually inspires the fish to do this?
A few weeks ago, one of my gf's sisters goldfish (about 6 in a fairly large
tank), decided to swim from the bottom of the tank, upwards at great speed,

Question about Peroxide and Red Sores11 Nov 2003 06:08 GMT13
For topical treatment of Red Sores, Ingrid/Joann recommend
an  application of Peroxide or Mercurochrome,
followed with a dab of Neosporin or Panalog.
Is the Peroxide basically the one you buy at the pharmacie?
Snail poop - my goodness11 Nov 2003 03:52 GMT1
I moved my two apple snails into a small tank recently as I needed

Sinking Pellets and pebbles09 Nov 2003 05:07 GMT4
I have sand in my tank at the moment and have recently started feeding
sinking pellets rather than flakes, and they sit nicely on top of the sand.
I will be upgrading to a bigger tank soon (probably a Juwel rekord 70 or 96)
and am unsure about having sand as I am concious of it ...
Frozen food09 Nov 2003 01:51 GMT4
All my frozen food doesn't come with instructions.  I've got a simple
question.  Do you stick it in frozen? I usually just pop in one of the
tablets and off the fish go.  I'd hate nibbling an icecube for my
dinner, should I defrost them first?
