how much gravel do i need in my goldfish tank? i have about 1 inch of gravel
in it now.

I thought that my goldfish, who is 11" and 5 yrs old, was getting white
spots, but it seems that one or two of his scales have lost thier gold
colour and are now white. He is very healthy and his tank is clean and well
balanced. Is this normal for large comets when they get older? ...

About 6 months ago I started in fishkeeping, i bought a hexagonal 15 Litre
tank and 3 goldfish.

We have 2 Goldfish, one about 9 inches long, one about 7 inches.  We have
had them for around 7 years and they are currently in a 150 litre tank with
an external ehiem filter (normally with a nitrasafe sachet to remove
nitrate) and water temperature kept around 22 degrees C.  We ...

We are now the proud owners of a brand new 50 gallon tank, and have built a
sturdy stand/bookcase to put it on. A couple of questions:
When I opened the box, I smelt silicon. I have left the box open since then
(about 1-1/2 weeks) to let it air and the smell is almost completely ...

I am currently running a Fluval 2+ filter in a 16gal (about 70L) tank.
So basically quite a small tank, the filter came with it as part of
the package from the company who makes it.

I'm new to this group and would like to share my experience with algae bloom
in a new backyard goldfish pond (app 1000L).

Is there any other fish I can have together with my 2 black moors? I would
like some small fish like Neon Tetras or something. So is there any fish
that I can have in the same aquarium, and how much "space" (like G) do they

He's had it for sometime and it may be getting larger.  I've noticed another one forming on his tail, in between to two tail fins.  I checked out the Puregold site and didn't find anything that would relate to this.
Anyone have any ideas?

do i need to use air pump and air stone when using an  Eclipse 2 Filtration
system?

Hi, with no acquarium at home nor experience with goldfish, I've just
got 4 goldfish, a little plastic box for 6L water, a bottle of fish
food and 3 plants from a friend on Friday!! I went to a pet shop
yesterday, a shop-assistant told me for the 4 little goldfish I need a

i had 6 goldfish, two died in the past month (we replaced one) and now
another is on his way out.
what seems to happen, is that one fish will start spending a lot of time up
in the corner of the tank behind an air hose.

In the UK, we have a program called "trade secrets"
Today, whilst relaxing on my sofa, "fish keeping" was the topic.  It'd
be interesting to hear your views on the following! I was transcribing
and editing at the same time, so ignore spelling and grammar please!

my goldfish is swiming upside down. what can i do to help this fish?
