Morbid Goldfish - Please help with a Diagnosis?12 May 2004 16:13 GMT4
I am seeking advice about one of my 4" Goldfish (a Comet I think). My tank
is 24"L x 12"H x 12"W and holds six Goldfish the biggest being 6" (due to go
back in the pond in June) 3 x 3"-4" and 2 x 2".
About a week ago the 4" Goldfish started lying on the bottom at the back of

Which LFS have you been happy with and why? Which ones should we stay away

A friend of mine has a water garden shop, and has several containers
of goldfish and koi.
One tank, with fantail goldfish, got into trouble somehow, the fish
were in obvious distress, some floating at the top, some dying.  He

Hi all, the past couple of weeks i`ve been trying some foods on my goldies
to see what they like. So far i`ve discoved that they eat absolutely
everything. cheese, ham, lettuce, skinned sweetcorn, skinned baked beans,
practically any fruit chopped small enough to get in their mouths ...

I have a fish in my tank at home which has been growing at quite a fast rate
about 10mm per month
I suspect the fish is a female Koi Carp. It was originally purchased as a
feeder fish, my yabby (freshwater crayfish) wasnt interested in eating the

I just tried to take another photo this time from above the fish.  I'm
much more concerned now.
FWIW water parameters are fine, nitrate a little high but it was due a
change and I've just done a 30%.

I posted a few weeks ago about a sick fish and had some very helpful
replies, although sadly I lost the fish.
I am concerned now about my other fish, an oranda.  It is probably
just paranoia as he seems fine but I have noticed what is possibly a

Right..Errol appears to have these white spots on his gills. lbut he's a
bizarre coloured fish anyway, so i'm not sure its just his colouring...and
with him being a new fish i don'[t know what his *norm* is...
how can i tell if it's that white spot thing that ya'll go on about?

I have moved with gf before....but just a short distance.....10 - 15 minute
drive with no difficulty.  This summer, however we might be relocating to a
new city.....4 1/2 hour drive, in the middle of summer , in Arizona.  Now I
am wondering...is there a safe and successful way to do ...

29 gallon tank, 3 goldfish (biggest has a 4" body)
Fluval 204 and Penguin 330
no gravel, only fake plants and air stones

I rescued four Goldfish yesterday from my Daughters workplace, apparently
they were going to flush them down the toilet!  I was appalled, my daughter
really upset, so I now have four fish.  I rushed out and got some basic
equipment.

as the title states my goldfish just layed a bunch
of eggs. i found a couple of tiny pearl white liquidy
bubbles on a peice of spinage that i clamped on to the tank.
i then noticed that the anubias plant was 30% covered in those little

We have a gold fish....He's brilliant...
weathers any storm...and seems stronger for it..
(including my daughter trying to catch him...)
but he seems to poo an awful lot

Anyone have experience collecting wild driftwood?
What processing steps do you need to take? Boiling
with salt, disinfecting etc. Is this a dangeroius proposition?
Bought Store driftwood is bloody expensive.
