I'm fairly new to keeping goldfish, though growing up as a kid, my brother and I bred Siamese fighting fish and Paradise fish and kept and bred all sorts of tropicals as well, so I have a basic understanding of the requirements.

| 200 GPH filter for a 10 Gallon tank? | 05 May 2004 22:21 GMT | 4 |
A few questions for you....I have two small goldfish in a 10 gallon tank. ( 1 common and 1 comet that my children won at a fair recently) I currently use a small old fashion corner filter. Although it seems to be keeping the water clean, I want to upgrade to a power filter. I

I'm thinking about getting a 125 gallon tank and am wondering what sort of filter to get for it. The biological load is pretty minimal -- two GF and a koi, each about 7"-8" -- but I like to keep the water clean. The simplest option is probably two large Whispers, but I

A new subscriber to the group here. I've been reading through the posts and noticed reference to Pothos & Philodendron being placed in tanks. I've had a look through Ingrids great website and through most of the posts here, but cannot find the original article.

We are moving about a block away. We have 2 comets in a 29 gallon tank. One is 4 years old and about 8 inches long with tail and the other one is only about 1 year old and about 6 inches long with tail. I would appreciate any advice you have on the best way to move them. Should i

I want to create a functional ornament for my arquarium which houses two goldfish. What I want to do is glue various seashells to a plastic or metal tube. The ornament will be placed in the corner of the tank to hide an air-stone and air-line. My question is what material and ...

| Yikes! Bio crash? | 04 May 2004 05:06 GMT | 5 |
Gosh, it seems like the fun never stops, eh? This post started as a diary entry, and I decided it might be useful to get the opinions of others here. Last weekend, _two_ of my three tanks seemed to crash:

Hi, I'm new to this group. I am also new to caring for a goldfish. My goldfish is getting black along the tip of his tail and fins. He moves around so fast, that's all I can tell! But it looks as if it is getting more and more. Does this mean he is sick or anything?? If so, what ...

| Siamese Dolls | 03 May 2004 14:57 GMT | 10 |
Went into my aquarium store today (the "lesser" of two local ones) and they had in stock a number of Siamese Dolls. Some were albinos with red eyes and yellow-gold coloring. I got two fantail calico that have the look of Ryukin. The thing is, these being for my 15H aquarium, I ...

| YAY! I`m a dad! | 03 May 2004 01:45 GMT | 2 |
I got my goldfish to spawn! The combination of fixing them up in a nice warm 40 gallon tank in the living room and playing them Barry White has paid off
:) I didn`t want too many of the little buggers so left the adults in the tank

| White Spot (Ichty-something)?? | 01 May 2004 15:43 GMT | 6 |
Our fish (fabtails) have developed white sugar-granule looking spots on their tails. When the aquarium light is on, these spots are like fibre optic light spots! (1) Presumably this is white spot and not fungus.
