WHERE IS THE MODERATOR???10 Jul 2004 01:49 GMT6
There's too many posts here that are OBVIOUSLY NOT about goldfish (or any
aquatic life), and wouldn't be allowed on most other places on the web.  Why is
it here?
where to buy goldfish09 Jul 2004 01:39 GMT2
Hi...
I'm looking for a good pet store in Connecticut to buy a goldfish and
supplies for my son.  Most of the stores near me I can't even walk
into let alone buy something.
Black Ranchu08 Jul 2004 18:03 GMT7
I'm been searching the world over, but am unable to find black ranchus that
won't cost me an arm and a leg.  Anyone know where I can get some?
Thanks in advance.

Brown algae...08 Jul 2004 16:18 GMT4
I hear green algae is ok, though too much isn't.  Our tank seems to have too
much brown gunk/algae.  I scrubbed it off three days ago, and now it's back...
What is it?

goldfish genetics - survival of the fittest.07 Jul 2004 03:24 GMT3
Okay, question about my fry tank.
Earlier this year I had the good fortune to have 2 of my common goldies
spawn. after a lot of die offs (which seemed to stop the moment I stopped
water changes and just let nature and filtering take their course) I now
Goldfish attack!05 Jul 2004 19:00 GMT7
To the list:
I have a 10 gal tank with 6 goldfish, five grown-up feeders and one
black moor.  I had more, including 2 more feeders.  One of them jumped
for freedom and death, another got fairly big, a healthy-looking fish.
fishless cycling question....04 Jul 2004 02:27 GMT2
I am putting some goldfish in a new tank in 3 weeks.  I intend on
fishless cyling it about 5 days before I put the fish in.  My question
is, can I go ahead and add water (from my garden hose, not
dechlorinated), now and let it sit until 5 days before I fishless
"bent" tail??02 Jul 2004 15:01 GMT3
one of my goldfish (sarassa comet) has a strange bend in the tail part
of her spine - if she was a person it would definitely be scoliosis...
it's got worse in the last week or so; it used to be occasionally
noticeable but today is definitely there all the time. I hope the
common goldfish sick02 Jul 2004 14:26 GMT7
hi, having recently moved my goldfish to a pond, I have noticed them looking
a bit peaky. One has developed what look like bloodvessels on his gill
scale, has lost a couple of scales near his tail and a few other places and
has some blood streaking in his tail(tho not all the way to ...
Carbon filter material02 Jul 2004 04:57 GMT1
I live in Australia, and I am looking for a supplier of carbon (Activated
charcoal) for my aquarium.
My tank is a six footer and I need to be able to buy carbon suitable for it
at a reasonable price, because of the amount I use.
Material in plant containers?01 Jul 2004 16:39 GMT2
When you buy live plants at the pet shop, they come in those plastic
containers that are stuffed full of some sort of spongy material.  I don't
think it is aquarium floss.  Does anyone know what the stuff is, or where to
buy it?  I need to "transplant" some of my live plants into ...
Goldfish died, how do I clean out tank for future use?01 Jul 2004 10:00 GMT3
I recently lost 2 wonderful goldfish in my 40 gallon tank.  What is
the procedure for cleaning out the tank, filters, air pumps, heater,

I would like to start cycling this tank from scratch again, but don't
