Betas & Goldfish28 Nov 2004 04:19 GMT25
OK Fellas,
The girlfriend bought herself a beta yesterday and I feel sorry for the
little fart.  The thing is in an extremely small little container, probably
less than one liter or even a half liter of water.

I have a 55 gallon tank that I bought from pl discounts
for 89bucks --I couldn't resist the bargain.
the top rim of the tank is divided by a plastic plank

New Aquarium Set up: Stuck! :-(26 Nov 2004 21:09 GMT3
I'm setting up an aquarium for my two goldfish outside that I have had
since early this year.  I bought a plexiglass aquarium from wal-mart,
and here's step 7: Using side cutting pliers or a heated knife cut out
the rectangular hole in the back center of the hood.

condition of its scales and fins are not looking too healthy.
what are Tosakins...26 Nov 2004 00:44 GMT1

I have never seen one outside of pictures but they are absolutely
beautiful. I would love to read anyone's experience/s with the type

I eat many doughnuts and I wonder if the fishes can eat them, too?
sleeping panda oranda24 Nov 2004 10:59 GMT5
I recently purchased a panda oranda  and after a few days it was "sleeping"
on the bottom and is weak because the current would occasionally take it
away. I thought there was something wrong with its swim bladder and put it
in a hospital tank and fed peas. I noticed while in the ...
aquarium salt question23 Nov 2004 13:32 GMT3
I was wondering what  the difference between aquarium salt and
supermarket salt was.
I know that Iodide is poisonous to the goldfish so lets exclude
any replies about Iodized table salt.
Fading color in common goldfish scales23 Nov 2004 11:36 GMT1
I have 1 common goldfish that I have had for 7 years, as of next week.
He was a 1" feeder when I got him and is now 5" long.  He is all orange
with a sprinkling of white or clear scales.  I have noticed over the
past couple of years that he has more white/clear scales then when ...

ammonia burns23 Nov 2004 05:25 GMT3
This is the only thing that I can think of that could be causing my goldfish
to suffer so and to look so bad.  I don't know what else to do.  I have been
doing frequent water changes, I changed the filter cartridge.  I did have to
medicate the tank a while back with some Fungus ...
