Are there _any_ tropical fish that can be tanked with a male Betta?
Guppies?
Neons?
Any small fish?

I thought I'd add some salt to the tank to prevent whatever is bothering
Panfry from affecting the other fish. I've read a lot of pros and cons about
salt, so I was a little hesitant. The recommended dose seems to be about one
