Fancy Goldfish swimming upside down with large lump in belly.23 Apr 2005 15:35 GMT19
I have about 6 large fancy Goldfish in a 40 gallon tank with undergravel
filter, top filter, plenty of air, etc.  They have been together for about 4
years and have no problems, just keep up on maintenance and add a snail or
two for cleaning every now and then.
Black Moor Needs Help23 Apr 2005 11:03 GMT1
I'm new to the goldfish hobby.  Bought a 10 gallon starter aquarium 3 months
ago with one black moor and two other small fish.  All has been fine until
today.
The moor is moving very little, mostly floating belly up at the surface.

What happened to the puregold website? I see to get a message saying
that they did not authorize any advertising?
Thanks
Strange lumps on comets21 Apr 2005 17:20 GMT4
I have an 82 gal tank dedicated to a variety of goldfish and plants.
There's some fancy goldfish in there (Orange cap Oranda, black Telescope,
celestial, Bubble eye - all about 4"-5" from nose to tip of tail) and some
plain old comet feeders that I've had for just over a year and ...

left on all the time???

Long-term salt buildup?20 Apr 2005 09:15 GMT1
For the last two years I've changed out my 10-gal tank weekly, using 2
gallons of dechlorinated tap water to which I've added a measuring teaspoon
(seems smaller than a table teaspoon) of aquarium salt and then aged for a
week.
Persistent infection19 Apr 2005 18:28 GMT4
I've been keeping orandas and ryukins for about 7 years now quite
successfully until recently. I got four new fish and within afew days there
was a velvet outbreak. I treated this successfully, then white spot broke
out.  This cleared up and the velvet appeared again. Once again I ...

I currently have 1 4" inch comet housed in a 10 Gallon tank. I have a
air driven corner filter. (I change the water every week, water quality
has been excellent) I want to add at least 1 other fish, and get a
larger tank - either a 20 or 29 gallon. I have a few questions.  1) Can
Q: Algae Eater w/ Goldfish?12 Apr 2005 19:40 GMT19
Is there a recommended type of algae eater that is okay to mix with fancy
goldfish?  I have two red-cap orandas and three lionheads.  After only a
couple of days, I have a lot of algae on the glass (direct sunlight).
FYI: I cannot move the tank, and the chemical balance is excellent ...

Purchasing my first UV Sterilizer11 Apr 2005 14:45 GMT1
After a nasty bout with septicemia, and the fact that I'm leaving the
country for two months so the care of my 30 gallon tank will be left to
someone else (responsible, but not that into goldfish) I'm
contemplating a UV Sterilizer for my tank. It's got 2 goldfish in it.

green peas lying around the house??!?
PANDA ORANDAS?08 Apr 2005 08:25 GMT3
Just saw a website that states that the Panda Oranda is actually an
oranda that is going from all black to white or gold!
What say you?  Breeders are charging DOUBLE for these orandas than for
normal colors!
