Chronic Green Water Problem31 May 2005 23:21 GMT4
My 100L tank has only one fantail goldfish (about 4"). I replace 30L of
water every 2 weeks and have 2 x Fluval plus 3 internal filters with a
strong air bubble feed.
For about 6 months the tank's had green water. I use King British Green
Infection in Shubunkin31 May 2005 10:41 GMT1
I have a big tail shubunkin with what I belive is an infection. It
started with the fish being overfed with puffed wheat - it then one
evening looked dead and lay like a banana on the bottom. But the next
morning it seemed completely recovered and fine again. Then over a
Goldfish & holiday question31 May 2005 02:53 GMT10
I'm leaving a 3 inch fish with relatives for a couple of weeks. I was
thinking of scooping him out of the aquarium and into a cheap plastic
bowl (the kind that pet shops often sell as starter kits). This would be
easier to do than hauling the big tank around.
New Tank and Moving Fish31 May 2005 02:50 GMT5
I've been offered a new tank, much bigger than my current one (im currently
just below 10 gallons with one tiny goldfish, i believe the new tank is 30
or 40 gallons). Its not actually new, its one that a friends had lying about
for years somewhere. If I were to take this tank, ...

If the HEATER isn't the problem, what is??28 May 2005 12:12 GMT1
OK thanks for all your replies-  Most of you are saying no heater.
That's fine. I won't get a heater. But this still doesn't tell me why
one of my fish is just hanging out in the bottom of the cave ornament?
This has been going on for about a week. It just comes out to eat. It
Is any green algae on the glass tank ok?26 May 2005 19:42 GMT2
I moved my tank to the only area available. too much light and algae
started overnight.   Is it ok to have some on the glass or are tanks
supposed to look totally spotless???
Just wondering how much I need to scrub off in order to see the fish!
Advice Needed....25 May 2005 10:57 GMT1
I've got two average sized goldfish in one of those 60 litre Bio-Orb
goldfish bowls (I know, I know, don't shout at me for using a bowl)!
One is a Sarasa Comet, and the other is a Shubunkin.  I've had them both for
just over a year.  They get along fine, but the Shubunkin always ...
What have I done wrong?25 May 2005 07:33 GMT6
A few weeks back I accidentally cracked my existing fish tank. It wa
only quite a small one so I decided over the weekend to treat our fis
to a bigger and better tank. On Sunday I bought  an Elite System 3 tan
- it may not be a big aquarium but it's big enough for our 3 fish (1
Should I starve my Betta??? :-(23 May 2005 17:13 GMT27
Ok, this is not a troll... Seriously. I need some advice!
I felt so sorry for the Betta I got from Wal-mart, I appear to have
over-fed him. It took him 3 days with me to even start eating!
I posted about this awhile ago and did follow advice about cutting him
Goldfish seeks new home (Pond...) Boston area22 May 2005 18:50 GMT1
My almost 8 inches long gold fish is approaching the capacity of my
fish tank. Looking for a kind owner and a new home before she outgrows
the size of my tank. Ideal for someone with a garden or a large size
fish tank (60 gal +).
My goldfish is a sexual predator19 May 2005 03:37 GMT8
It jumped out of its tank and tried to rape me up my a.shole.
What should I do?
Shubunkin on hunger strike?18 May 2005 12:43 GMT7
Any ideas on how to persuade a shubunkin on hungerstrike to start eating
again.  He's wasting away in front of us, and everything we offer him is
ignored.
He really looks terrible, and I wonder if he's gone to far and is too thin

GOLDIE AND BLACK ANT!16 May 2005 00:22 GMT3
I could not believe it, but two days ago my red capped oranda had a
black thing sticking out of his mouth, would go into a corner and stay
there for hours, spit some of the thing out, then suck it back in.  I
watched for a day or so, then decided he was really getting upset, so I ...
