My new Fantail Goldfish15 Jun 2005 15:53 GMT5
Finally made it to the world of the indoor fish keeper; I purchased a
biorb 30 litre, and a new Fantail Goldfish.  24 hours later, and the
fish seems to be happy, swiming around.
One question though, how many pellets should I fed it?  One book say

black moor has bloody eye09 Jun 2005 09:42 GMT1
I woke up this morning and was doing my regular fish check.  My black moors
eye is totally red.  It looks like it is filled with blood but I am not
sure.  What could be causing this and how do I fix it.  The tanks
paramenters are fine, I tested this morning.  I have had this tank ...
Black Moor Cross07 Jun 2005 18:33 GMT6
We put a few Black Moors in our pond 2 years ago. Las fall we noticed a few
odd looking fish. It seems that the Black Moors have crossed bred with a
goldfish and now we have several very odd looking fish. I've uploadeda
picture of one. If you would like to see it go to
Do parasites stay in the water?07 Jun 2005 08:38 GMT2
Two of my little fish died in the last week, about 4 days apart. Before
they dies they were bent in 'u' shapes and then they just skulked away
to die. They looked like they had 'internal bleeding' if that makes
sense. One of he fish was spending a lot of time on the bottom of the

My new aquarium has been up and running now for approx. 3 weeks and th

What I have noticed is that the features I've added to the tank have
brown colour covering the surface off them. I assume this is algae a
Lethargic fish part deux06 Jun 2005 00:22 GMT4
Well, lethargic fish number one went and died last night.  I tested the
water yesterday and nothing shows as out of the ordinary.  I even
compared the water with the old tank it, if anything, the new tank shows
slightly better quality.  Both show pH ~7.5 to 8.0.  Both show no
natural garden pond help!05 Jun 2005 15:11 GMT2
I have a small garden pond with run of the mill goldfish, about 8 in all.
I know there are some that breed in there as there has been evidence of this
activity in the past.
Unfortunatly I ran a pump in the pond and I fear that most of the fry has
Lethargic goldfish05 Jun 2005 00:58 GMT6
We have a small tank with 2 goldfish in.  This was a kit and the filter
packs are no longer available.  We went and bought one of these Biorb
tanks and have had it running for about a month.  I had the water tested
at an aquarium centre and they said that the Nitrite was a bit ...
Filter problems03 Jun 2005 10:13 GMT2
I have a 50 gal pentagon tank with 6 fancies. Currently running an Emperor
350 and everything is fine with the fish. The probelm is that the filter is
harder and harder to prime after water changes and it makes a racket for
quite a while then settles down to a rattle. It is about ...
Tiny Worms In Tank03 Jun 2005 05:01 GMT3
I was cleaning my tank when I noticed that there were a lot of tiny worms in
my gravel. The funny thing is, I have never fed my fishes with worms before.
They have always been fed on pallets.
Any ideas on what the worms are? Are they harmful to fishes? Will adding

Hey everyone.
It's approaching winter in Australia and I have noticed the temperature
in my fish tank has dropped as the weather is getting colder. In the
warmer months the temperature ranged from 25C (77F) to 27C (81F) and

Started cycling a new tank.02 Jun 2005 09:08 GMT11
I was put in charge at work of moving the three goldfish into a new
bigger tank.
The poor guys have been living in a cramped 5gal tank and it was about
time to do something about it.
Brown algae?02 Jun 2005 06:50 GMT7
After finally getting of my problematic green murky water situation and now
enjoying a clear tank, I notice that the walls of the tank are getting a
brown film.  I used an algae "scrubber" to clean down the sides, but the
brown returned quickly.  Since switching to an Aqua Clear ...
