| Nitrite Test | 31 Aug 2005 23:47 GMT | 4 |
Back with a weird question. First off, if you'll remember, I'm the one with the 3 young fantails and the 10 gal tank who was trying to get it to cycle. Owing to problems most likely due to being unable to - even with AmmoLock or

| two fish, one died; add a companion? | 31 Aug 2005 22:00 GMT | 4 |
We have had two goldfish (Dottie and Goldie) doing swimmingly well for 4 years in a 10 gallon tank. Water changes regularly (probably not regularly enough, but regularly). Recently, Goldie suddenly sickened and died within 24 hours. She went from normal to flopping on her side ...

| How to clean aquarium accessories | 31 Aug 2005 16:34 GMT | 2 |
Just after a few weeks of use, the inside of the gravel vacuum silicon tubing has turned from transparently clear to completely black. Flushing the tube with clean water after each use doesn't seem to help. I think the only way to clean it is to soak it in bleach but I worry ...

I have a 20 gallon barrel setup outside. It came with a fountain pump that is rated 600 GPH, I know it sounds excessive, but it also came with a valve to adjust output. Two days ago, I added two small comet/feeder fish, they are doing well

One of my goldfish has been kind of listless for the past week, dorsal fin down, not too interested in eating, more actually floating around the tank than swimming. This morning I hoticed that its usually white tail is taking on the color of dark orange (the fish is orange). Is ...

| Sinking Lionhead | 24 Aug 2005 09:49 GMT | 1 |
Hi all - I have a Lionhead that seems to have no bouyancy. It can swim fine and will eat at least some food when feeding, but since it cant float it does little foraging which requires the ol headstand. Water parameters are fine (except nitrates are 60ish) and there are no ...

| Goldfish disease info | 24 Aug 2005 09:46 GMT | 1 |
We have kept our 3 goldfish for over 5 years in an aquarium without any issues. The other week I noticed the larger of the 3 had torn fins so added the required "medicine" treatment to cure this. Yeaterday I noticed the fish was bumping into the walls of the tank and to my horror ...

I have a goldfish with bad fin rot - ragged tips and quit a large split between his tail. He also has a white 'dusty' looking coating. He is in a tank with two others, both with the same conditions. The tank was kept by a relative who had been using an automatic fish feeder (and

| Move fish to a larger tank. | 21 Aug 2005 15:20 GMT | 4 |
My Red Cap Oranda has outgrown his surroundings and I need to move him to another tank. He is a really nice fish and I don't like the idea of going through a tank cycle with him so was wondering the best way to go about things.

| Hurt Comet | 19 Aug 2005 10:14 GMT | 5 |
This morning I awoke to find one of my comets with his head stuck in a tank ornament (obviously it was poking around in there because its an inanimate part). When I noticed some of his scales were off, I realised he was in trouble.
