Troubled Oranda17 Nov 2005 05:30 GMT2
Hi all. I am looking for some advice.
I have an oranda which is about 5" with quite a curved backbone.  Recently
it has had a tendency to sit on the bottom.  Because it is so round, it
looks quite strange - kind of teetering, head down and big round belly and

i usually just lurk here but am going to dip my toe in the water.
I had gold fish for years in the 70's & 80's but gave them up as too much
work. I've just gone back to keeping fish and in the past 3 months had no
dramas. We had about 5 fish then bought another 20. Unfortunately one ...

How many Permanganate treatments09 Nov 2005 14:49 GMT2
I've finally gotten around to treating my GF tank with PP. I've put it off a
few times,as they always seemed to get better (Melafix, Salt, water
changes), but it never completely went away. This week Panfry's snout bump
was back larger than ever and he lost a couple more scales, ...
snails09 Nov 2005 14:41 GMT28
We have a large tank in which (as I've said before) we lost all our
fish. Among those were some rather nice, and very efficient, cold-water
loaches which were doing a grand job of hoovering algae off the
rocks/wood/etc
Any fish that goes with goldfish in a non heated aquarium09 Nov 2005 14:40 GMT10
I have a non heated tank since I was planning to keep only gold fish.
Just out of curiosity can I keep any other type of fish there at all
without the fish dying due to infighting? Or is it completely ruled
out?
Plants w/ Goldfish08 Nov 2005 18:59 GMT4
I have a 125gal  tank with 5 comets and a pleco....every time I have put
plants in, it has been unsuccessful.  Their constant rooting around makes
the plants surface and/or they chomp them up. It is a main feature in the
room it is in and I would love to add some color and texture ...
