We are living in a world with too many problems and far too few answers. Many millions regularly go hungry. Increasing numbers are addicted to drugs. More and more families are breaking up. Incest and family violence are constantly in the news. The air we breathe and the

| Oranges, koi and goldfish......... | 30 Jan 2006 23:24 GMT | 3 |
Not knowing if the food I purchase is dead fresh since I can't find dates (Hikari is dated) on the containers, I started feeding them oranges. They love them and eat them right down to the rinds. This should cover any need for vitamin C and offer color pigments to help keep their ...

We have 4 goldfish in our 10 gallon tank, all the fish are fairly small. We also have (2) snails as well. Our tank started smelling pretty bad about a week ago. We have had the tank for less than 3 months now. The water is crystal clear, but the smell is bad. I tried changing ...

| "Proper" way to use pH down. | 30 Jan 2006 02:09 GMT | 5 |
Continuing saga of my ill/dying fish. Took the water to be tested today seems the pH is a tad high at >7.6, believe that for GF 7.5 is the "ideal" figure so we went and got a water testing kit which includes pH down, pH up and indicator solution, is there a "correct/favourite"

| Atheism provides a green light for abortion and queerdom | 28 Jan 2006 22:38 GMT | 1 |
We live in an age of hard choices. Many, for example, are implacably opposed to abortion, calling it murder of the unborn. Others feel just as strongly that women have authority over their own bodies and should decide such a matter for themselves. Many view

| Koi-lo thred, Religion: Catholics | 27 Jan 2006 16:28 GMT | 9 |

No wonder Carol aka Koi-lo increased her remailers attacks on rec.ponds. She now on the goldfish group. Not for long; Wait until they read her track record. And I am pretty sure this group will be interested in atheism and evolution.

| Blue and Pink goldfish | 25 Jan 2006 03:17 GMT | 1 |
This year I got enough to start a small breeding colony of blues. These are blue when looked down on having no yellow or gold at all. Very pretty if not flashy fish. The pinks are clear, translucent Shubunkins with long fins and dark eyes. They're not albinos. They're as hardy ...
