I have a really vbig tropical tank and a tiny coldwater one so i seemed to make sense to add the two goldfish to the tropical set up Would this cause any serious problems --

All the books I have describe Danios as tropical fish, but all the pet shops here sell them as cold water fish. What's going on? Jen

Many pet stores unfortunately just see the money involved and couldn't care less about the animals they sell. That's why they cram bettas into those tiny cups. More bettas in more tiny cups means more money for them.

Can I feed these fish the same kind of food? Right now I have the basic goldfish flake food, can the tetra eat this as well? Or should I get a different brand of food for my new pals?
