How Long does spawning season last?23 Apr 2007 00:08 GMT3
   I recently (couple months ago) got 2 goldfish, each about 5-6
inches long.
There are in a 55galllon tank.  
  One keeps chasing the other all around the place.

My tank: established 20 years or so, with occasional moves. It's a 29
gal, with 1  GF (about 1.5 years old) 1 tetra, and 1 Raphael cat. (Yes,
I know the tropicals might suffer, but one tank is enough.)
We moved about two weeks ago. My tetra, who is insanely old, made the

We've just purchased 8 goldfish and put them in a 50 Litre tank. The
tank had been filled for about 2 months, and there are plants in there
too. We have a filter that ran for about an hour before the fish were
put in the tank.

    My name is Ron,  and I was the proponent who helped  create
rec.ponds.moderated  after the original rec.ponds became a disaster.
     Many  of the aquaria groups (both freshwater and saltwater) are
now being destroyed by the same things that destroyed rec.ponds.

My girlfriend is new to keeping fish and has recently brought a 35
litre tank.  She set it all up except the fish and one week later
added 2 goldfish, maybe 1.5 inches in length.  Then one week later
still she added the final two fish which are about 1inch.  So she
