Is it true that goldfish don't need a heater? I don't have one.

Should I get a bubble wand? It's a 5 gal tank. I want those "curtains"
of bubbles. Will they also make more oxygen? I have an undergravel
filter.

I setting up my 50 gallon for goldfish ph has been in the low 6.s
I have Proper Ph 7.0 it states it will set pH at 7.0 .
will it work ?
