Questions from a newbie30 Mar 2008 18:35 GMT5

baby orandas (1.5") for my daughter and a eclipse hex-5 tank knowing
that the goldfish will growth soon and that 5g is not a good home for
them, but the idea was to start small. After 3 weeks they are now
I'm Happy With My Gouramis...BUT30 Mar 2008 15:27 GMT5
They are much more hardy than Goldfish..and they are labyrinth so they
can breathe oxygen. The water is crystal clear at last. The only problem
is the ammonia level is off the wall. I have to do water changes almost
every night, and even after I change like 90% of the water, the ...
When Removing Water26 Mar 2008 07:09 GMT7
I also remove the plastic plants, and decoration, and then I rinse the
plants and decoration with hot water.
Should I be rinsing everything in the tank, or just tending to my water
changes?
Are There Any Fish That A Gourami Will...22 Mar 2008 22:04 GMT1
beat up to a pulp, other than another male gourami? I heard these fish
can be territorial. Should I put my small corycat in with him? These are
the only 2 fish I have.

My Black Moor Died Today ;-(19 Mar 2008 16:38 GMT22
He was my favorite, and my son's favorite. I barely had him 2 weeks. He
had white dots on him, and the day he died, the underside of him was
turning gold. He was healthy when I got him.
My Gourami Is All By Himself19 Mar 2008 01:41 GMT10
and he's staying all my himself. He's such a friendly little guy, the
way he looks at me. :) I don't think he cared for other fish, and I
don't want any gourami fights. Did you know these fish were so friendly?
Just Can't Keep The Water Clear17 Mar 2008 19:37 GMT12
I keep doing freqent water changes. Over 75% every few days. I age the
water for a few days. And even when I pour it in, the tank is cloudy!
I'm looking at the aged water sitting on my counter now. It's crystal
clear. But the minute it hits the tank it will go cloudy.
2 Fish Are Left17 Mar 2008 07:16 GMT1
My male Flame Gourami is by himself in a heavily planted tank, and seems
to be doing well. I've been changing about 90% of his water every night,
as he's in a small tank. Each nite I put in water conditioner and every
other night, some AmmoLock, because his ammonia reading is too ...

Sometimes he swims, but then he goes right back down to the bottom and
sits stock still. It's like he's dead.
Can Fish Hear, And Do They Recognize Their People?13 Mar 2008 15:22 GMT8
What do you think? Sometimes when I go to see them, they swim up to me.
I know what you'll say: "They swim over to you, because they want FOOD!"
