Sparks, who was an expecially nice guinea pig and a good friend of Princess
Louise of Alberta died suddenly this afternoon.  Louise is very sad.  There
will be a simple burial in the back yard.

Can this hurt piggies?  I put mine in a box of styrofoam peanuts
for a few seconds while I cleaned their cage.  They seemed to
love it.  Is it bad for them?

    Brownie and Bandit drink a lot of water, but when their water bottle
became infested with green algae Laurie thought we might have to get a
new bottle.  I decided to test a way to clean it.
    First I rinsed the bottle out with cold water, followed by a rinse with

Would anybody have any ideas on why a pig would suddenly become sulky? Lola
spends too much time in her box, won't move unless given free range in the
garden (when she runs about as normal) and headbutts us when we pick her up?

I am considering introducing my two guinea pigs in to one cage, but I am
concerned about the scent of the original occupant remaining on the cage
(possibly aggravating the other). Anyways, anyone know what guinea pigs use
