(I am resending this, the original had a pic attached and it looks like it

Milky Eyes09 Sep 2003 11:50 GMT4
Hi.  One of my guinea pigs has a milky white eye discharge coming from her
eyes.  I've only noticed it once before (about a month ago) and when I wiped
it from her eyes, it didn't come back until just now.  I've wiped her eyes
again and it's gone.  I was wondering if anyone can tell ...
Question for Patricia Simon09 Sep 2003 11:41 GMT4
What is the name of the testing strips that you use to check the glucose
levels in your gp's urine?
Do these strips also tell you if there is blood in the urine?
Thank you very much

unfortunate phrase09 Sep 2003 00:47 GMT18
Does anyone know the background of the phrase "guinea pig' referring
to experimental or other observational procedures?...I do not know of
guinea pigs actually being used in this context....i always thought it
was rats or mice or rabbits...Both myself,Chuckles and little Piggles
My Arthur... a long haired?08 Sep 2003 02:19 GMT2
I have a guinea pig who is a very young calico colored male.
He has straight fine hair, with only one cow-lick on the top of his
head. (where he lickes to get scratched, it's so cute) As he is growing
his hair is getting longer and longer, and I was wondering how to

Hello group and and your slaves!
As some of you  know, I got my Daisy pig-girl back from the
rodent-sitter (dear Mélanie) one week ago.  I have almost three years of
being a pig mom.
Please help: Piggie grooming05 Sep 2003 14:31 GMT4
First of all, let me admit it publicly, i'm a bad piggie mom.  Very bad,
and i think my little Nuggett would agree right now.  Nuggett is a long
haired piggie, very long hair, and very thick.  And he HATES being
groomed.  So admittedly, i don't do it nearly often enough.  Well
one of our pigs is balding on one side05 Sep 2003 13:17 GMT3
Hi, we have three G-Pigs one of them is starting to go bald on her right
side.  any ideas?  None of the others are balding.  Nothing has changed to

I created a play-pen for my pigs. Well, bought it.  they have them at
wall-mart for 9.00. I
bought 2 and hooked them together.  I sat in the middle of the pen, and
they started circling
Identifying a breed04 Sep 2003 03:36 GMT2
Just found this group and thought it was interesting and educational. My
daughter has a Guinea Pig that I can't easily place into one of the
categories or breeds in a book. He is tan, white and brown, and his hair is
a bit long to be considered a "short hair" in my (unqualified) ...
True Love?03 Sep 2003 18:03 GMT5
As one of my girls is very obviously pregnant, it was about time to move the
guy to his own apartment last week, and set it up in an old avary  with tons
of hay, hidey houses, food, treats and everything. He's always been
skittish, doesn't like me much and he got worse, never ...
introducing a new piggie03 Sep 2003 17:02 GMT4
We have a sweet little guinea pig about 7 months old.  It's a male, a total
doll, very tame, gentle, not at all skittish.  We'd love to get him a little
friend to share his cage but don't want to breed litters. (we don't want
more than two pigs and don't think we could bear to sell ...
