| Keeping her own hair short | 31 Oct 2003 22:56 GMT | 5 |
Just recently our Guinea pig has started to eat her hair. Poppy is a medium haired guinea pig but she is keeping it trimmed now. She is bathed quite regularly so her hair is never dirty or matted. There is no sign of her scratching or biting her skin (possibility of mites) and she's ...

Well, the piggies are in the process of getting their new palace. I'm wondering what kinds of toys to give them now that they'll have lots of room to romp and play. What sorts of toys do your piggies like? What toys are big no no's? I've

| RIP Lila | 30 Oct 2003 15:51 GMT | 8 |
Thank you all for your kind thoughts - sadly Lila passed away shortly before she was scheduled for the exam. The vet came to check on her and found her peacefully gone with Brows snuggled up next to her. I am glad she had company in her last minutes and I am sure she knows she was ...

| Separating baby boys from mum | 30 Oct 2003 14:47 GMT | 4 |
Mitzi's babies are going to be 4 weeks old on Thursday. All 5 are boys and I'm anxious not to have any more babies, so when can they be separated from her? Can they go to their new homes straight from her or should I keep hold for another week?

| I'm mad -help any? | 30 Oct 2003 13:21 GMT | 3 |
My pigs don't like me anymore. I gave them to my grandma for the past two weeks, because a pig is due eventually. This house is empty all day, and I didn't want them unsupervised while birthing. Now they pur

My little barber Lila subject of previous posts is at the vet today for a mouth exam. She has not been eating and her weight has dropped to 550grams. I have been feeding her by syringe but there is a problem with her mouth - I can hear grinding even when taking the liquids. She has ...

| Fern had her babies! | 29 Oct 2003 12:38 GMT | 5 |
Fern finally had her babies on Tuesday evening - as I looked on... ;o) All three babies are healthy and happy (currently bouncing around their cage). They're albino, though I'm not sure if they'll end up with brown points like Fern, or if they'll stay white. Gave them some

| Why are my piggies so unfriendly? | 27 Oct 2003 21:10 GMT | 4 |
I bought 3 GP's from a local pet shop, all sisters, for my daughters birthday over 18 months ago. All three of them are still terrified of us. When they see us coming they run in the opposite direction. When we pet them they wriggle free and run

I was wonder about something noone will probably know. Life is so random. My black self is about to give birth, and the father is a calico looking long hair. Silky maybe.

We have had our pig now for 1 month. We adopted her from a petstore and they said she was about 3 months old (she weight 500gm). This past weekend she started Popcorning and we were so excited as we saw this as her starting to accept us.

| Princess is getting used to me. | 26 Oct 2003 21:57 GMT | 7 |
She's been here for about two weeks now, and doesn't go running away to hide if she's in the open of her cage when I walk into my bedroom. She's still hard to catch, though, and she's *definitely* the quietest guinea pig I've ever had!

| litter training | 25 Oct 2003 11:16 GMT | 2 |
We've changed the floor area to towels, and given them a large container of stinky wood chips. Every time I find a poo on the towel I throw it into the litter box. Although they seem to enjoy using the litter box, they also don't care at all if they just walk around pooping and ...
