We had a sudden extreme temperature change here today, and one of our piggies
appears to be dying.
The other two perked up when we brought them inside, but Boronia wasn't able
to stand, nor could she drink.  We took her to the vet and after 2 hrs of

I line my guinea pigs cage with newspaper and I can't stop him from eating
it.
I will not put my guinea pig on wood shavings because of respiratory
problems that they can cause.

hi everyone, i used to be in this newsgroup when i first got my guinea pig
in may of last year.  I was just wondering if anyone could tell me what it
means when she bites her food dish over and over, and has dented it in so
many spots because of that...? we give her food to help her ...

Hi, did anyone try magnesium citrate on their guinea pig for urethra stone
before? My Vet prescribed potassium citrate for my guinea pigs. It works for
one but not the other! I've learned that magnesium citrate could be a better
alternative and would love to know more about it. Any ...

Piggles had a Merry Christmas...she..pooped under the table, sat in the cats' dish and got
cat food on her butt, slept right through the Queens Christmas broadcast and ate Chuckles'
carrot......it doesn't get any better than that !!!

Elmo's eyes are wetter than usual. I can also see white stuff under one of
his eyes.
We do get dry winters here in the northeast. So, is he just secreting more
fluid to prevent dry eyes, or is he allergic to something? He doesn't look

Wondered if anyone could help a newbie out with a problem.
