questions07 Mar 2004 20:49 GMT10
My friend is thinking about giving me a pig when her sow delivers in the
next few weeks. I know enough about guinea pigs but it's the cages I'm
having a problem with. I have a cat who is a mouser and just today he killed
my last hamster. I want a cage that he can't get into but ...
idle thoughts of no great moment!07 Mar 2004 15:54 GMT1
Absent-minded (or..many a slip twixt cup and lip)
Watching Chuckles tear apart a pile of fresh grass i said (yes i
talk to them)..."Chuckles! you're making a pig of yourself"
It occured to me later this was probably taken as a compliment!
Fighting girls07 Mar 2004 08:00 GMT2
Help!!  For 8-9 months three of my females have been living in the
same cage.  Two of them (Taryn and Persephone) are like two peas in a
pod.  I've even seen them sharing the same vegetable (with no tug of
war!)  Kirsten has been known to bicker with the two of them before,

Play Mate..07 Mar 2004 01:19 GMT12
I would like to get Pokey a playmate; but  can't reach right
now.....anybody out California way looking for homes? Pokey is a full
grown male about 9 months old I guess....he don't get along with the
cat. In fact; he sounds like Godzilla when the cat gets too close. Never
Unbelievable but true -- Bald Hazel is growing a new coat of fur!!!06 Mar 2004 16:03 GMT3
I just can't figure out what's up with this little piggie.
Hazel started losing hair on her back, rump and flanks last fall.  Lots of
testing later (starting with the obvious lice/mites), we learned that she
had developed new tumours.  Hazel had surgery twice previously to remove
guinea pig seizures06 Mar 2004 14:39 GMT2
Skeeter, my older daughter's guinea pig, seems to have seizures.  He rolls
onto his back, goes stiff, squeaks loudly once and then convulses with his
mouth open.  They usually last 5 - 10 seconds.  Has anyone else ever
encountered this?  Do vets prescribe anti-seizure meds for pigs?
sore foot05 Mar 2004 02:59 GMT1
My female piggie named Panda has developed a small sore on the bottom of her
front foot.  its a bit hard and dry.  I put vasaline on it, but I was
wondering if there is something else that i should do for her.  It doesn't
seem to be bothering her, but it bothers me that it's there.  ...

Silly Question04 Mar 2004 12:28 GMT7
Hey Everyone. . It's a known fact that animal excrement is widely used
to fertilize soil.  As I was cleaning up the pen last week and
scooping up pounds of guinea pig droppings, I wondered. . .Does guinea
pig "excrement" work as well?  I know many people use rabbit droppings
Pigtures of my sweeties01 Mar 2004 20:01 GMT4
Hello Everyone!  Well, I've been trying my hand at web page design

Bear with me. . .it's my very first try.  I just had to show all of
you how adorable my sweeties are.  My web site is at
