Not getting along29 Apr 2004 23:14 GMT1
We bought 2 baby girls who were housed together and seemed to get along.
When we got them home 1 of the girls started biting the other girl and
trying to chase her out of the cage.
We separated them, but now the bitten one is very lonely and it's obvious
Built a new cage29 Apr 2004 17:39 GMT3
I built a great new cavy cage that the pigs have really been enjoying.
I left town, and ended up in a small 2 room apartment.  The size of my
last cage was as big as my bed, and I knew I would have to shrink it a
bit. So I thought I would make up for it by giving them a private area ...

Duncan and Marbles got to eat breakfast outside today in their smaller cage.
I can take the bottom off it and they can eat away! I attempted to take a
few pics of them and post them on the web. The whole webpage building is not
my area of expertise so I will just explain the pics ...

her little girl, so it'll proably stick.  I think the time is nearing ( i
hope so anyway).  She ate this morning a good bit, but hasn't eaten much if
any since then.  She's still drinkin and she nibbled ...

Porky piggy!24 Apr 2004 22:29 GMT1
Hermione is really porking out since she had her litter back on January 28!
She is now approximately 9-10 months old and weighs 1100 grams (2.425 lbs).
When we first got her in September 2003, she weighed 440 grams and maxed out
at 1270 grams on January 24 just before delivering her ...
Hi-We are new21 Apr 2004 16:08 GMT4
My name is Kristie and my piggy is Rocky. I just got Rocky on Sunday  and he
is my first Guinea Pig. I got him after my rabbit died a few weeks ago. I
missed the littel sounds and such from My rabbit but did not want to get
another rabbit so soon. I went to the pet shop and fell in ...

John,
Thanks for all the great advice. Right now Rocky's hidey hole is the box he
came home in. I cut off the flaps and cut a hole for him to get in. I tried
to find something at the pet shop where I got him and atr Wqalmart but had
Where do you let your piggies run?19 Apr 2004 21:59 GMT3
Rupert and Pepper get set loose in the dining room, being as it's the only
room we can block access out of easily.
The table chairs have low rungs and when the pigs are getting wild and crazy
they'll run circles under the table, leaping over the chair rungs. Every

My favourite piggly (about 4 yrs old) has something wrong, and it's got
me stumped. 2 weeks ago he seemed to stumble while walking several times
a day, shake his head now and again, and lean his head slightly. He was
mildly lethargic as well. He didn't seem to be suffering, so I ...
Advice needed - new guinea pig owner17 Apr 2004 13:25 GMT7
We just got a couple of guinea pigs (2 girls, born in March, from 2
different moms).  We are keeping them in a 1 by 2-foot cage (previously
occupied by Mrs. Crazy, teddy-bear hamster, at the Bridge).  I suspect this
cage is too small for 2 guinea pigs.
A good news health story!16 Apr 2004 23:06 GMT2
Last Thursday evening we noticed that Natalie (two month old female) had a
mark on one of her eyes!
From reading about such problems I concluded that she had either been poked
by a long piece of hay or been accidentally scratched by one of the other
