Well, it's soon time for us to go to the US again.  Last year we were so
very lucky to find our
Mélanie (Mélanie Hotel for those that remember!).  Unfortunately, she

*Summer* hasn't even started and it's already taking it's toll on the
piggies! It has to be about 90 F in here and it'll get worse.  Any ideas
how to *try* and keep them cooler? Already tried the frozen water bottle
in the cage thingie. Not only won't they lay against it, they avoid ...

Are guinea pigs better than rabbits?
My verdict: yes. Rabbits are often nasty and vicious little bastards.
Guinea pigs, on the other hand, are cute and strokey and never do
anything to harm their owner. They *know* not to bite the hand that feeds

I have read somewhere that it is wrong to
feed guinea-pigs frshly cut grass.
Is that really a fact or did I dream it? If
it is a fact, I can't see why cut grass is

I got 2 pigs.  I prefer to buy the Kaytee Timothy Hay, or should I say the
PIGGIES prefer it.  One's an Abyssinia sow, and the other a short hair boar.
They like when the Timothy hay is very green and soft-ish.  Does anybody else
have this?  Sometimes the Kaytee hay is browner, and ...

On the off chance that I don't kill them for this <kidding...I think>, does
anybody here know if eating color photographs is dangerous for piggies?

Can you advise if it is safe or a good idea to put a male rabbit and a male
GP together?  Would they fight like 2 male GP's might?  The rabbit is about
4 months old and the GP a year.  Would there be any problems if the GP was
put back in with the rabbit after having mated?
