Planning on getting a guinea pig29 Jul 2004 01:44 GMT4
Hi.  I'm planning on getting a guinea pig, but for probably the most
selfish reason possible.  Basically, I just want a little animal to
cuddle and pet.
I currently have a rabbit, who I LOVE, and she is very sweet and we play

Interesting to note the great difference in VitC content between
red/yellow and green peppers. The red/yellow varieties contain
more than double the VitC content compared to green. Regular
inclusion in the diet should go a long way to preventing

Last Thursday while I was clipping my pigs' nails, I noticed that Kassandra
left a brownish stain on the towel. I had her in a plastic bowl until she
peed, and it was all bloody, completely red! I took her to the vet that
afternoon, who gave her antibiotics (bactrimel) for 10 days. ...

For the first week or so after Suzy's departure, Hazel really seemed to
thrive.  She had the whole, large pen to herself -- she could sleep wherever
she wanted, the food was all hers, she was getting as much (probably more)
attention as she desired.  But, last week, she too went ...

I just read the7/17/04 Thread and decided to substitute some words in the
story.  This story substantiates my 6/17/04 post.  To those of you who want
to flame me for what you perceive as insensitivity, flame on.  I'm not a
troll and I perceive this example as bad as pet abuse-the ...

I'm so worried about Checkers.  She's a 30-month old guinea pig, and
has dropped from 850 to 560 grams, and continues to fall.
The situation :
basically, she's just super-skinny, still pretty peppy, but bonier and

Does anyone have a problem with eating carrots, apples, etc... and get told
off by their pig(s)? My pigs are in my office area and I was just eating
some baby carrots and they started screaming at me. I gave them a carrot
each and they shut up.

in him.
Need help and need it fast!!18 Jul 2004 13:38 GMT14
My friend came to my door this morning all in a panic, telling my husband
that she things her sow is dying. She said that she's howling in pain. Does
this happen when a pig is dying?
