Humping issues.30 Sep 2004 22:00 GMT3
Why, every once in awhile, does Pepper just drive everyone nuts by humping
Rupert? Both males.
This morning, he just won't quit. I finally turned poor Rupie loose in the
dining room just to get a break. Rupert's almost twice the size of Pepper,
Another infested Vitakraft update28 Sep 2004 15:44 GMT14
Latest is the Vitakraft general manager in Jersey has told my friend
that they will send out the sample she sent them for testing. In the
meantime she wants to take the advice of her vet and have the infested
product tested herself. Anyone know of a lab that might help pro bono?
diabetes changed into no diabetes28 Sep 2004 14:11 GMT2
Something wonderful has happened today!
I have 4 piggies and 3 of them needed to see the vet. Chanda makes a
murmuring sound when breathing (some sort of respiratory infection?), Mysti
suddenly started to lick her salt wheel abnormally often (and therefore

I've noticed that if I have Princess out on the couch with me (or even
without me), she is very happy and 'talkative' and stuff.  She explores
and talks.  This is a big change from in her cage, where she prefers to
hide in her igloo.  Sometimes I look back and discover her ...
update on my piggies27 Sep 2004 17:20 GMT2
I wrote about 2 weeks ago with my plight about the bad luck i've been in and
how my piggie was put in with my male for a "play date" by my youngest
nephew.  I'm happy to report that yesterday morning she became the proud
mother to 3 little babies.  Mommy and babies are doing ...
Curly Nails27 Sep 2004 17:16 GMT7
Wondering if anyone can help. Our two piggies front fingernails have started
to go all curly. We keep them well trimmed but don't know if there's
anything we're missing. Is it bad nutrition, and if so, what should we feed
them apart from fresh veg and standard dry pig food? Or is it ...
has anyone noticed that guinea pigs are taken away from their mommies too soon?27 Sep 2004 00:03 GMT2
omg, this is so sad. when i saw ruby, one of my babies, in the pet store, i
noticed that she must have been taken away from her mother too soon. she is
very skittish because she is so young. when i got her, she was skin and
bones. she was the only piggie in the store. i think it ...
Guinea Pigs and TV26 Sep 2004 21:20 GMT6
I've never met a guinea pig so fascinated by TV as Bracken.  When sitting on
the couch, no matter which way we place her down, she will turn to face the
TV.  When in her cage, she has taken to lying half in, half out of her
pigloo, again facing the TV (only when it's on!!).
Hello everyone21 Sep 2004 19:02 GMT1
Hello.  My name is Starlia and I'm looking to adopt a piggy.  I have several
friends in rec.craft.beads and WC that have pigs.  After reading about them
I've decided I would think it would be a loved addition to our family.  Our
family consists of my me, my husband, and our three ...

It is with great sadness that I want you to know that Patch passed away
yesterday.
On Friday he was fine, Saturday, we found him lying spread eagle. I
syringed a bit of water and offered apple right under his nose which he

I had the gps out in the living room this morning and they were playing with
/ eating some newspaper I had put out for them, but Cleo had other plans and
tore a piece of my wallpaper off and ate it. Has anyone any experience with
this ? Can it harm her? She ingested about a square ...
My Piggies-long16 Sep 2004 14:54 GMT2
Hi everyone, I haven't posted in a little bit.  I thought I'd catch everyone
one up on my woes.  About a month ago I spent alot of money at my vet for my
sick piggie Arthur. He's my 1yr9mth male.  He got really sick and quite
eating...he had blood work done and everything and was ...
Infested  Vitakraft15 Sep 2004 06:26 GMT6
I had bought a bag of Vitakraft about 2 years ago in Central Ohio and had
the same problem.  I noticed it when I opened the bag thank goodness.  I
pitched the bag and haven't bought anything of theirs since.  It doesn't
surprise me the run around that some of these companies do to ...
