I posted a couple of weeks ago for advice on guinea pig keeping.

litter box trained29 Oct 2004 23:35 GMT1
I built my guinea pigs a chloroplast cage that has a half-lid over
the back. Under the lid are a couple of litter boxs. In the front,
in front of their water bottle, I laid a bathroom carpet. Somehow
they have figured out all by themselves that it is just better

Ok everyone,
I have had it the the continuous responses made to bubba.  I though it was
that you were to leave him alone and not feed the troll.  I'm getting to the
point that I don't want to come back here anymore because of it.  I thought

spay/neuter?28 Oct 2004 04:19 GMT4
My sister just got my 8 year old niece a guinea pig (against my better
judgement).  I have a feeling the poor little thing will end up with me when
they're bored with it, or "it makes too much mess" or "smells"... I have two
bunnies (indoor) and belong to alt.pets.rabbits, and ...

A pig is more than just a pretty face!23 Oct 2004 05:44 GMT7
I am sure i can often see different expressions on my
piggys'faces. For something that is basically all nose with two
button eyes this surprises me, Piggles in particular has an
'astonished'look (as in "is that the biggest carrot you could
Baby Guinea Pig Making Constant Sounds23 Oct 2004 02:49 GMT18
I just picked up a baby female pig from Petco the other day and introduced
her to an older, 1 year old female in a large, 8 square foot cage. The baby
seems to be making constant clucking noises (about twice a second) which
are in line with her pulse beats. Is she frightened or ...

Sorry if people post asking this all the time.
I have been offered a guinea pig. It has not yet been born. My brother was
sold two supposed male guinea pigs , and one turned out to be female. She is
now pregnant. They have been separated and the male will get his bits done!

I have raised happy, very healthy piggies...
Romaine lettuce twice daily (organic and washed)
snacks of parsley, sweet red peppers, apple, plums and a few small carrots.
When added to their usual diet of good guinea pig dry pellets and Timothy Hay,
Adding another GP...problems17 Oct 2004 09:28 GMT10
We've had our female GP (Blizzard) for 3 years now given to us by a
friend, and an opportunity to get another female came our way - she's
not quite her littermate, but Ginger was cagemate to Blizzard's mom,
until she passed away, so she's a little bit older and is bigger, too.
New and old piggleton15 Oct 2004 03:10 GMT14
Nicky, aka Mr. Piggleton, ate his pellets and his favorite veggies were
Carrots, apples and cucumbers. I am anxious to see what PJ will favor.
We had always given our Nicky pellets, Timothy hay, and assorted veggies. We
also added LM vitamins to his water. Occasionally we would give ...
